This was my first time dining here with my Vietnamese boyfriend, and it was fantastic. We went at a slow time before the dinner rush and the service from Diamond SPARKLED. We highly recommend the Nem Cuon rolls and the grilled pork chop, which came with 2 surprise shrimps. The pho ga broth was so fragrant and clean, and they serve it with authentic green chilies instead of jalapeño peppers. I hate eating meat with tendons, cartilage, and bone, and have been put off by the meat at Asian restaurants before, but the pho ga was served with small, palatable pieces of chicken breast which I enjoyed.

We also tried the wasabi steak salad; we had never seen this dish served at any other Southeast Asian restaurant before and it sounded good. Very little wasabi is melted into creamy seasoned butter and this is the salad dressing. Crisp romaine, tomato cooked but still firm, green onion and shallots, cucumber and delicious grilled flank steak. It was so unique, flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. We are very glad we tried this bo tai wasabi salad.

Would come here again for sure. Wishing Saigon Cafe good luck in business, and prosperity and happiness for all employees, especially DIAMOND.

I have been going to Saigon for close to five years now, and their green curry has always been my favorite. Our server was professional but other staff quite honestly seemed drunk. This experience was different than previous, our food tasted off, and my cocktail wasn’t as good. We didn’t say anything that wasn’t remedied by the server. I wrapped my food to go and my boyfriend pushed past the overwhelming greasiness of his dish. My boyfriend was sick for the rest of the night and I found a COCKROACH in my leftovers.

We called the restaurant in attempt to alert them of the situation, but the manager wasn’t available and never returned a call. If the manager cannot handle this, the health department will have to go in to ensure there aren’t any more roaches in the kitchen.

Edit: I don’t believe I can reply to your response, so this will have to do. Max, I wholeheartedly understand your implicated hesitations, but to clarify- I packaged and sealed my food at the table, opened it at home and found the bug in the packaged food before I had transferred it. I felt comfortable with our server and would have promptly let him know, had I found it at...

Terrible service, and the food wasn’t good either. We had to wait to be seated for a while even though it wasn’t crowded at all. The server appeared 10 or 20 mins later with 4 cups of water that were supposed to be ice water. The ice in the cup was almost melted, and water smelled chlorine. It took another 20 mins to have Tom Yang soup that we ordered for an appetizer. Since the sever didn’t bring napkins and silverware, we had to ask another server as we couldn’t find her anywhere. Then again we waited and waited for our main dish for about 30 mins. We finally asked the server. All she said was she was checking, and if we wanted we could leave without payment. My daughter cried for she was so hungry. I checked my parking slip to see how long we’d been there. It said that I parked my car from 6:30pm, and the time we got back was 7:50pm. We’d been there for over 1 hour for nothing. It was the worst experience.

By the way, the taste of Tom Yang soup was horrible. It was extremely sweet and sour. It was so sour that I almost burnt my throat. Certainly far from...

Extremely disappointing food. Can’t believe how bland tasteless and insipid the food was. The green Thai curry was only sugar and coconut milk. The noodles was thick flat one inch wide doughy mass served with some fried tofu and a bland liquid which was supposed to be some sauce. The broccoli in garlic sauce was equally disappointing as in the whole dish there must be only 3 or 4 pieces of broccoli. No doubt the food was fresh but totally unpalatable. There was no differentiation between the dishes as all tasted the same bland tasteless pile of food. Only good part was that it was open till 10:30 pm and after the concert one of the few options open where vegan food was available. Would Not recommend if you want some authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Totally feel we wasted money.
