Terrible. Just terrible. McDonalds corporate should be ashamed to have their name on an establishment that gives a guest experinece like the one I had this evening. I parked my truck over at the cenex next door and just finished finding out they are no longer 24 hrs. Walk over to McDonalds to redeem my "lunch" break. It is 10:05 by this time. There are maybe 10 guests inside of McDonalds. Doors are locked. Walk through the drive thru it is then. I get myself in line. I am 2 cars back from the order box. Neither lane is moving. There are no guests waiting at the window past the order boxes. No one is having their order taken. This goes on for 15 minutes and 2 cars get through on each lane. Now I am up. Again radio silence from both order boxes. Everyone that ordered before has now been served and left, everyone is also out of the lobby now. I decide to phone the restaurant. Phone picks up then hangs up immediately. I call back, they let my call ring through. I call again, they pickup the call and just leave the line open. Keep in mind, 10 minutes has now passed since a single customer has been talked to by the staff. It is as if they are closed. I call a fourth time and actually get a response where the worker tells me they are too busy to talk on the phone. I was a bit frustrated at this point and I asked him what exactly they were busy with because no customers were being helped. He hung up. Shortly after the order box sparked to life and they took my order. I start walking around the building to the pickup window. The customer waiting at the other order box beats me to the window (car vs me on foot). I listen to the driver of that car and McDonalds worker chit chat about their personal stuff for 9 minutes. Finally, I get to the window. All I had ordered was a big Mac no pickles and a large fries. We just rolled over 41 minutes into the experience. Receive my ice cold food and am delighted to find what appears to be extra (4) pickles on my burger. Will not be back.
EDIT: I would like to clarify that the issue was not the length of time it took. I get it, fast food places can be very busy. The issue is a lack of customer service. If the staff came over the order box and informed the guests there would be a wait instead of just disappearing this would have been a 3/4 star review with the only issue being the...
Read moreI want to be fair to this McDonalds and say right up front that maybe we caught them at a bad time. So maybe they deserve a better rating than three stars. But I am only basing this on our stopping in a coffee while passing by traveling through. We walked in this McDonalds and we always try to use the restrooms even if we don't need to, because when on the road, you try to avoid having to find a place because you need to. Anyway, we went into the appropriate restrooms. They were not very clean, to be nice. They were not the filthiest places we've ever seen. But to be nice, at least empty the trash and pick up the trash on the floor. Then while waiting in line to order, I looked around. Every trash area that I could see had the trash overflowing out of the bins and trash piled up on top in a heap. When we went in to order, the place looked empty. One person was in line a head of us. I didn't look in the dining room, so I will not comment. But the one table I did notice looked clean. I will say that as we were leaving, one of the crew members began to rectify the situation at the trash station closest to the counter. We took the coffee and got back on the road. Again, this might have been just a bad day. But chances are that we'll never be back because we were only passing through. But there's only one chance to make a first impression. Read moreI am a Canadian truck driver so i parked at the Cenex while the weather was not the greatest and had a craving so... here i come! The only reason i am giving this place a 5 star is because yesterday night when i went to get some McDonald's it was chilly out, i thought i would be able to walk in and order but the doors were closed and saying dinning room is closed order thru app or use drive-thru... okay well 1st the McDonald's USA app cannot load on my phone cause it is not allowed in my country(Canadian remember?), so i had to go and wait in chilly weather outside for the drive-thru which of course, i can't trigger the weight sensor(some of y'all might but i sure can't lol), so anyway no answer there so i went to the window where i waited after a lady that was taking her sweet time looking at her order as they the only one in the world of course but anyway, the young lady cashier, Sidel i believe her name was or that's what was written on the bill anyway, asked the manager if she can open up the entrance door so i could wait for my order inside where its a bit warmer and it was a yes. So i waited in the entrance between the 2 doors for my order which was great!
So basically that 5 star rating is for her kindness, not for the place itself, as it is a McDonald's fast food after all and the dinning room and bathroom were closed for public/no access. Appreciate...
