I found myself in the heart of Buffalo's bustling city center on a hectic Wednesday. With meetings lined up back-to-back and little time to spare, I decided to duck into Wendy's for a quick lunch. It was a simple choice, familiar and fast – or so I thought.
Stepping inside, I was immediately enveloped in the vibrant energy of the place. The clientele was a colorful mix, each person radiating that unmistakable inner city flair. Businesspeople in sharp suits chatted animatedly on their phones, groups of friends shared laughs over their meals, and a few solitary figures, like me, seemed to be on a tight schedule.
The staff, however, painted a starkly different picture. They moved with a tired efficiency, their expressions a mix of resignation and anticipation for the end of their shift. I could almost hear their silent countdowns to punching out.
I placed my order, a classic burger and fries, and found a corner seat. The food, when it arrived, looked nothing like the glamorous photos – the burger slightly squashed, the fries a bit limp – but it tasted just fine. In the whirlwind of my day, I wasn't looking for a gourmet meal, just something to keep me going.
As I ate, I couldn't help but feel the pulse of the city around me. The diversity of people, each absorbed in their own worlds yet sharing this common space, added an unexpected layer of excitement to my rushed lunch. There was a raw, real element to it, far removed from the polished veneer of advertising.
Finishing up, I tossed my trash and headed out, back into the rhythm of the city. Later in the day, my stomach reminded me of my hasty food choice, a gentle protest against opting for fast food over a skipped meal. But in that moment, it was a necessary compromise, a small sacrifice in the pursuit of productivity.
That quick lunch at Wendy's wasn't just about grabbing a bite; it was a brief immersion into the heart of urban life, a fleeting connection to the diverse tapestry of the city. It was a reminder that sometimes, in the rush of our busy lives, we find unexpected slices of humanity and vibrancy – even in the most...

TLDR: they didn't give anything from our mobile order, our money got lost from the order, they don't work at all
So we wanted to have a quick meal at night. So ordered 2 sandwiches and 10 pc chicken nuggets for pickup through the mobile app.
We went to the drive through as at night, the pickup orders are supposed to be picked up from the drive through. Went to the first window where we speak to the person. They asked to pull up to the next window to pickup the order and we went there. There, they told they will prepare the order and give it to us in the parking lot. This is where the series of the strange event started as the orders are supposed to be complete in that window itself.
So we waited and waited and waited in the parking lot, nobody came. We could see them laughing in the kitchen not working at all. Then we saw one employee taking out a fry, licking it and then putting it back to the order. Disgusting. Anyway, we knocked on the door to ask about the order, they told they are fulfilling some doordash orders first. We said okay, please hurry up our order. After some time, someone came and have us a bag and a drink (which we never ordered). Because of the suspicion, we checked what's in the bag, it was 2 sets of small chicken nuggets and a French fries, totally different from our original order of (2 chicken sandwich and one large nuggets). We told them the order is wrong and they took it back. We again waited and waited and waited, no one came. We could see the kitchen lights were off now, someone was smoking inside the restaurant. We were scared of the safety, so we got back into the car and pulled up to the drive through window once again, no one was there. Honked twice, no one came out. We just then left disappointed and with the loss of 25 dollars. We couldn't contact Wendy's customer support as it was outside the business hours, we will ask for the refund next...
Read moreIt's literally been years since I've visited this location because I know it to be terrible. Sometimes the food may be prepared correct and actually taste good, but good luck with that with the employees and management they have in there. This particular visit, I was given the incorrect item. I ordered one of the newly advertised chicken sandwiches for the first time so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. That said, I was also starving. I get my sandwich and drive about 10 minutes away before I say grace and chow down. Unfortunately, it took me a little more than halfway through the sandwich to begin to question whether or not it was in fact what I had ordered. When I realized, I ceased devouring and made my way back to the restaurant. But of course, since I had eaten so much of the sandwich, the manager refused to reconcile the situation with anything other than an order of fries. I impolitely declined and left. I wish I would have accepted and then dropped them on the floor. This Wendy's is a tragedy and should be shut down. Make it an Arby's. For the owner's information, it was at 4:30p on a Thursday. Your staff is incredibly incompetent and quite rude to be honest. They were laughing at me like I'm trying to get free food. I realize I ate most of the sandwich, but the fact remains that your employees are the ones who messed up. Not to mention I paid for a whole sandwich and only got to eat about 5/8ths. Because obviously after I hand it over I'm not going to want to eat the rest, right? This debacle was handled utterly poorly and I will continue to bash this Wendy's until my...
