Finally made it to this special gem of an ice cream shop and to make it even more special was that it was on a daddy son day with my second son. We enjoyed delicious home made ice cream with service that was sweet and friendly. I am happy to announce they have updated their hours so we could enjoy this sweet treat on Wednesday. Nice. The ambiance is relaxed and feels like a local friendly and cozy ice cream parlor. I had their best selling flavor, salted praline crunch and my son enjoyed a little bit of chocolate and his favorite flavor mint and chip. He said his ice cream was wonderful! So I'm happy to announce that this ice cream shop is a "Go!" And gets my seal of approval and two thumbs up. Thank you to this family owned business for being here and my very best to you and this excellent ice cream store. 5 solid Stars!

Celebrating my first Teaching position with our first visit to Sallies ! Our time at this black owned family business was memorable. We were handed about 6 plus different little spoons for taste testing trying to figure out which flavors we would like. From there we tested out the young man’s personal favorite (banana pudding and we then made our final selection. I got the chocolate cone … yes chocolate! With a scoop of coconut delight and a scoop of strawberry! Try it out … it will not disappoint. My partner got the confetti cone with a scoop of oatmeal and vanilla. Thank you Sallies !

I cannot recommend anywhere else other than Sallie’s Ice cream. I have been enlightened by this milkshake and it has changed me not only as a person, but as a milkshake connoisseur. I had the Salted Praline Crunch milk shake and… holy carrot in a rabbits mouth… I’ve never had something that’s pleased my taste buds so such an extreme. I want to start with the young man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. He was the only good part about this place and he gets 4/5 stars for customer service. Everything else was not good. This place is not an "old fashioned ice cream" joint as it appears nothing is made fresh or in house. The whipped cream was out of a great value spray can and the brownies tasted/appeared processed. The ice cream had been in the tub for so long it scooped like it had been in the back of my freezer at home for two weeks. This was a subpar brownie sundae at best.
