I've been in Bullhead for 5 months and I was looking for a dive bar to hang out and have drinks. I put together a list of bars to check out in the area and the pour house was the first one on the list, based off of previous reviews. The first day I walked in, I was the only black guy in there and I was welcomed with open arms by the regulars, particularly a guy name Billy and Melinda who was the sweetest person ever and her cool Beau Jay. Then Debbie the bartender came over and welcomed and introduced herself and everyone who was sitting around me. She also introduced me to other customers on the other side of the bar. Everyone was friendly and it was very great first time experience at the Pour house.
I decided to visit in the evening hours and met Michelle and Coke who are also bartenders and they were just as welcoming and very nice and made me feel like we've known each other for years. (There is another bartender there name Wes, but i didnt get to meet him. But I'm sure he is just as welcoming as the other 3 bartenders.) After my first few times there, I felt like Norm from cheers walking in to the poor house. Everybody yell my name and welcome me as i walked into the Pour house.
The drinks are very good and not expensive at all. The Pour House have a pool table, darts, and also jukebox that you can play songs through your phone. No food is served there, but I believe you can bring food in and enjoy it with drinks that you buy from the poor house. Also on certain nights they have karaoke and DJs. On football Sunday and certain holidays, they have special events as well.
In all the times I've visited the Pour House, there has not been any drama or fights or any kind of craziness . It is normally an older crowd, so you can't go wrong if you need a place to hang out and chill and have a good drink with good people.
I'm glad I chose this place and I'm sad that I'm leaving Bullhead City and won't be able to visit the Pour House anymore. But if I come back to visit Bullhead City for whatever reason, I will definitely stop and visit the Pour House.
If you're looking for a good drink, with good people, in a relaxing safe environment, you can't go wrong if you choose to come to the poor house.
And it is wheelchair accessible with...
