They used to have coupons you could redeem via email. Then you had to download the app, and even now, they manage to wiggle out of the once-generous discounts. One time, I had a coupon in the app for $2 off a sundae. I went in, ordered, and then when I tried to apply the coupon, it was declined because you had to place your order in the app ahead of time. Next time, I brought my son with me because it said, "BOGO sundaes." We ordered the creature creation, but when we showed the cashier the coupon, she said, "That's for our regular sundaes, not creature creations," and did not even try to apply it.

Both of these examples are classic "bait and switch." The business lures you in under a false pretense, and then once you're there, denies you the benefit you came in to redeem, or claims the promotion is no longer valid, thus requiring you to pay full-price.
