It was a chilly morning in the 'Bank and I was in need of some warmth inside. I saw the little place in a small corner strip mall and decided to check it out. Walking in I was instantly taken back in time, back to my high school days when I would stop by Winchell's for my morning apple fritter. The inside is somewhat dated, but even so, quaint.
The pleasant woman on the other side of the glass display of donuts could barely see over the exhibit font, how cunning. The menu is placed on the wall high above. Hmm..... Decisions, decisions, decaf latte or white chocolate latte? After some Hemming and hawing, I decided on Decaf Bianca (white coffee).
Although there are tables and chairs inside the establishment, I resolved to try to work on warming up inside and out by sitting outside in the sun. I was a bit anxious that the white chocolate flavor would be like some many I've experienced at other coffee shops, you know, that one that kind of burns the back of your pharynx with a sharp icky flavor, nope not this one. All in all it was pretty smooth. And to think, I didn't even add any sugar.
San Marco white chocolate was mighty tasty and yes, I would go back if ever in...
Read moreWhen I lived in Burbank, this was my way of spoiling myself. I can't remember the drink I would get but it was an iced Caramel something and it was SO GOOD. No one makes it like they do.
It's a tiny Cafe and that's part of its charm. They have a crazy red machine that I guess does something with the coffee beans.... it's worth stopping in just to see it.
The lady who owns the place is a total sweetheart. You'll feel good about patronizing her establishment.
I can't give the food 5 stars because I would only get coffee when I would go there but every time I ordered a drink it was A+. They have some pastries from what I recall but it's focus is definitely the drinks.
Not sure if they have a public restroom though I doubt because the space is tiny.
If I still lived in Burbank/Glendale, this would still be my go-to place but unfortunately I don't live anywhere close now. Definitely...
Read morewas in the area a couple days ago and decided to stop by and give this little coffee shop a go. I am so glad that I did. It is a small little mom and pop coffee shop that offers an amazing cup of coffee. The flavor of the brew was wonderful and definitely hit the spot on a cold morning. I enjoyed an Americano and my wife a Vanilla Latte. They were both amazing. Food selections are limited but we were there for the coffee so it was not an issue for us. The woman who served us was sweet, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. There is limited seating at a 3 stool counter inside and a couple of tables with a handful of chairs outside. There is ample parking in the lot so that did not seem to be any kind of issue. We will definitely be back again. It is well worth the stop and we will be back...
