Arctic Circle — Restaurant in Burley

I once loved this place. We used to go in almost every other Sunday to enjoy their amazing burgers and fries.Their food was once phenomenal but we came in today and it will be sadly the last time we visit. We’ve had amazing experiences before then. I personally am in leadership positions and there was absolutely no leadership in that team. Nobody knew what was going on, I wanted to step in… it was that bad. People weren’t sure how to make our milkshakes, people in charge of drive thru had no idea what to put together, and the cooks weren’t doing anything but talking when I could literally see drive thru and dine in being busy. My mom said two cars were gone in the drive thru cause people were so frustrated. I hope management reads this and fixes the team. I used to love this place, but It was an absolute mess. The time before was an incident I’m not sure was their fault. I had a full body hive. I was having an allergic reaction to the taco salad. Mind you I’ve never had an allergic reaction before. So having hives all over my body was terrifying. I noticed them after eating the salad. Luckily we went to the store and got Benadryl. I almost died from A.C but I wanted to give it another shot because I really loved their food. I promised to never get the salad again but I wanted a milkshake that was poorly made. I wanted a cookie dough shake and it was literally 99.99% vanilla with a couple chocolate cookie dough chunks on top. And when we asked if there was more I. The owner Blake Ruffing of Burley Burger is very unprofessional. They hired my daughter and over worked her, made her do Manager duties, and after working there over 6 months she asked for a raise, and was told she didn't deserve it. My daughter injured herself at work and was not sent to Urgent Care, but told by a Manager to put a bandaid on it and it would stop bleeding. She drove herself to the urgent care and ended up with stitches. The bill was never taken care of, and after many attempts to get him to pay the bill it's now facing collections even after he stated he'd take care of it. They left my 16yr to close the restaurant nightly by herself and anyone who lives in Burley knows that its not a very safe neighborhood. This employer clearly doesn't care about how he treats his employees. Never even giving my daughter a lunch break when she would work from 11am - 10pm. He even stopped allowing employees to have a drink from the soda fountains. I forced my daughter to quit as the stress he would put her under was too much for a 16yr. to deal with. No one should work in a hostile environment and be cursed at on a daily basis. This man only cares about his sales and couldn't even provided proper work attire. Took my girlfriend to Arctic Circle on 11/30/2023 around 8p.m. Don't get me wrong the hot chocolate ice cream is Amazing! Definately try it! But..... the girl taking our order was very quiet, you almost couldn't hear her at all... then we got up to the window where the one girl was still quiet but was the only one working! There was 2 other female employees there, sitting on the prep table where they were very visible and on their phones. That is a very big health hazard (to be sitting on a prep table), was not professional at all, and absolutely not attentive to the fact that there was people trying to order and others at a window. Rave to the girl basically working by her self, just needs to speak up a bit, rant to the other two for not helping her or the people behind me.
