When I walked in this morning, the first thing i noticed was the decor. The atmosphere gave me a real homey old-school vibe. The vintage items around the ceiling and walls are an amazing touch to this place. I thought it would be a long wait because of how crowded it was. Surprisingly , I was provided a seat quickly, and my server (I didn't catch her name, but she had a tattoo behind her ear) was amazing. She approached me right away, took my drink order, and gave me a few minutes to look over the many choices they have to offer. I decided on the sausage links, pancakes, and sunny side up eggs. Now, typically in California, they bring you these skimpy sausages, but no, not here. These sausage links were like chorizo portions and were very delicious and full of flavor. The pancakes were buttery and fluffy, although I was only able to finish 2 of the stack of 4. And the eggs were cooked to perfection. One thing I dislike about breakfast joints is the lack of strawberry jelly. Although I like syrup, I tend to favor strawberry jelly more. The fact that they had a stack of strawberry and a stack of grape made this place that much better. Truthfully, 5 star rating is not enough. This place deserves more than the 5 allowed, I will definitely be in tomorrow to try their lunch. If I had found this gem the last time I was here on business, I probably would have been in every day for the...
Read moreWe chose to have our New Years breakfast here because previous visits were enjoyable. Unfortunately that was not the case today. The server was great, we were enjoying our meals until...I found a long strand of hair in my Berry Berry Parfait. Luckily,I have a habit of stirring it up before eating it. If I hadn't, I would have swallowed someone else's hair. I immediately brought this to the attention of the server and she asked if I wanted another one. At this point I'm questioning how sanitary is the rest of my food, and about what she might bring out. I told her that I was not happy with the meal, and she took my check to the manager. She told us that the manager would be over to talk to me. After waiting 20 minutes, the manager never came to the table and we were ready to leave. We went to the checkout and informed the woman behind the register, who said she was the manager. It seemed as if she wasn't aware there was an issue, and when we questioned why she never came to our table, she said that she thought it was another table. We watched the entire time. She never came to our table or headed to the one she thought she needed to go to. This is poor customer service on every level, and felt race motivated. There was very little accommodation for a frequent customer. I will not be spending any more time or money at this...
Read moreWe came to Amy's for Father's Day breakfast. This was a recommendation from a friend and she did not let us down. Dawn was our server she was extremely nice and very attentive throughout our breakfast. My husband and I both ordered the omlets ( so many other options were available as well) . My husband had the Western Omlet. The Western had peppers, onions and ham, Dawn asked what type of cheese he selected swiss and requested added sausage, he also asked for side of bacon. I had the All American which was pork roll, sausage and ham and american cheese I added onions and asked for side of well done scrapple. Each omlet comes with home fries and choice of toast (wheat, rye or white). The meal came out quickly and was nice and hot. The hashbrowns here done just right and the eggs were loaded. My husband finished his meal and enjoyed each bite, he had said the bacon was nice and crisp and not greasy the hashbrowns were bits of potatoes not shredded, they were tender with crisp edges, PERFECT. I myself had to take more than half of mine home.being there was so much. I would absolutely recommend this place. The prices are a little more but the portions reflect what is being...
