Food was prepared as it should have been. Good and hot, nice amounts of sides. Of all the Bojangles' locations I have been to, this ranks in my bottom 5 locations. It could have been cleaner; the dining area and restrooms. We had to clean a table before sitting as there were no empty tables that weren't dirty. I worked in food service for many years and keeping tables wiped down and trash removed from them after people leave the table is a must, even in establishments that do not have table service. The women's restroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in several days, if it had even been checked by employees. There was barely enough toilet paper on the end of the roll to be useable. The staff could have had a much better attitude towards customers. Huffing and making faces at a customer as they tell you the order for themselves and the 2 children with them is not necessary. Rolling eyes at customer when the customer asks the child what drink they would like and then snapping angrily "we ain't got that!" at the child (not at the adult) is not necessary and is very unprofessional. Being huffed at and told "you already got it" when asking for the BBQ sauce that was missing from the tray is not necessary (the cashier asked what sauce when the order was placed and it was even on the receipt, so it was a simple mistake that didn't require any attitude from the person who was putting orders up on the counter). Some people do not need to work with the public and are better suited to being in the back. It is up to a manager to recognize when people are not suitable for counter work. The manager here should make better judgements on who they place at a register. The quality of service rendered is just as important as the quality of the food. Bad attitudes from employees can easily cause an okay experience to become a poor experience. There are numerous other options in the area and I will be chosing them over dealing with impolite employees here...
Read morePulled in the drive thru and asked for a 3 pc. Was told they were out of chicken at 7:00pm! How? They told us to come in and fry it ourselves? What! Then another voice came across the headset and said we have chicken. So she took over the order bc clearly the women was having a bad day. Got to the window looked and it was a whole pan of chicken sitting there. The employees were not wearing gloves while handling food. The temperature light wasn’t on to hold them temperature of the food. The manager said pull around and I will bring it out. Meanwhile the lady that had the worst attitude was rolling her eyes at the MOD. Her boyfriend was inside and she was talking to him along with giving him food( which he didn’t pay for). We pulled around sat for about a min and went inside. Upon arrival inside the restaurant we notice they were serving the customers in the drive through that came inline before us? We also noticed no employees had the proper equipment for food safety controls. No hair nets no gloves etc. while handing the customers orders. We asked them why there were services the people before us? There responded was we are waiting ? Waiting for what? Everything that we needed was right there. The ladies still had a attitude and the food was not prepared for us. Mind you we spent $47. Long story short we asked for our money back. The MOd said she would refund it. Next day we have nothing in a form of a credit in our bank account. The most unpleasant unprofessional display of workers hired in your establishment! You should be ashamed! There response was “we are short” staffed! Well that’s no way to act to your customers! Who are paying your salary. I have worked in retail and am Certified in food safety. Am prolly wasting my time by typing all this out. By looking at your website for this Maple ave chain. It already has bad reviews and is still getting them. Do better! Do better on your Hires and your MODs!...
Read moreNot a bad place to eat if you don't mind having a worker look you in the eye and lie to you. I went in and ordered..I didn't know I needed to watch their every move because they couldn't be trusted.
I ordered a two piece breast and wing meal with pintos and rice. I also separately ordered two legs. Looked like the shift supervisor that was waiting on me. She said "we're out of wings, will you take a leg instead ? I replied 'yes' I'll take a leg.
When the order came up..I noticed there was only one box and the top was bulging slightly..I usually get two boxes since the two legs are a separate order..otherwise they don't know who the separate two legs order is for. I asked her if the two extra legs were in the same box as the rest of the order ? That woman didn't bat an eye and said, " yes they are ".
I wish I thought to say " how do you know who those extra two legs are for ? ..and made her rebox the order before it was put into the plastic bag I had to ask for. There was a large pan of legs sitting on the counter in the serving area. I had no reason to think she was a liar. I get home, open my box and found a breast ,one leg, one order of French fries..one container of rice and a biscuit. No pintos and missing the extra two legs. Needless to say.. that particular bojangles on Maple Ave. In Burlington is subpar and should be avoided. I had a bad experience at the same restaurant during the Covid debacle and didn't visit the place for over a year. I won't spend my money there again.
Bojangles..evidently you are having a hard time finding high quality workers in America these days....unless they are Latino.
There is a local McDonald's with, it appears , an entire Latino staffed shift, and " they get it done "..act like they're trying to please and give a damn about what...
