Food Lion — Local services in Burlington

I would give this store a zero if I could. I was over charged on an item. Called & spoke to a man he said the next time I came in to say I spoke to home they would refund the difference. Simple enough. When I went there the next time the girl lied to my face and said they have no such employee. She argued with me on the floor in front of everyone. She made me feel like I did something wrong for the price difference. Called and spoke to the female assistance manager she wanted me to speak to the store manager, so I did. He apologized and said he would speak to the employee and wanted to send me a gift card which I did not ask for. I want 3 to 4 weeks No gift cared called back and spoke to the female asst again and she said he sent it but they would send another one. It has been a month and a half and I never received 1 of the cards. It seems that lying is common place in this store. Something so minor and their employees blew it big time. Today I stopped at Food lion in Maple Ave. I went to purchase a quick meal..( Spaghetti meal).. I saw the 12 items express line only had one person that was finishing up. I knew I had a little over 12 items. I started to place my item on the belt and said to this beautiful black women, is it ok that I have a few more? She smiled and said you are ok. She said I just need your ID. Which I loved because I'm Over 50. Her tone and smile was so friendly.. that I wanted to bless someone at that particular time. The guy behind me, waiting patiently, only had a wine opener. I said "ring that up". It was small but her smile made me pass a blessing on. A "SMILE"...
