The mid afternoon summer sun warmed my face down by the lake. It was time to head back into the sweet town of Burlington to observe its homeless and mentally ill.
On my journey I came across several posters about “creemees”. Alas, most only took cash. This place, however, took cards. After watching a 45 year old gentleman wearing a baseball jersey skateboard off to wherever, I turned and stood before the order window. The two ladies were very nice. When I asked what a creemee was, they indulged my curiosity. When I asked what the best flavor is, they answered with conviction.
Shortly after, I held a beautiful soft served concoction of maple and black raspberry flavored soft serve. The first taste was wonderful. Soft flavors perfectly complemented the locally sourced cream. The colors danced elegantly in the bowl, neither commanding more attention than the delicate flavors.
Having stopped in my tracks to catch my breath, I was soon able to continue my journey. The song playing in my head from this creemee was far louder and more pleasant than the locals screaming about conspiracies. Nothing could ruin this...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Burlington Bay Market & Cafe last week while visiting Burlington’s beautiful waterfront. One of the highlights was indulging in their famous creemee – a Vermont classic! I opted for the Black Raspberry Creemee, and it was absolutely delicious. The texture was perfectly smooth, creamy, and refreshing, making it the perfect treat on a warm day.
In addition to the dessert, the food was equally impressive. The menu offers a nice variety of fresh and flavorful options, and everything we ordered was prepared perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is another standout feature – with cozy seating and stunning views of Lake Champlain, it’s a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, especially to try their popular...
Read moreI've been hanging out at this place over the winter, so this quick review will be a different experience than summertime with the view of the lake, etc. which seems to be the highlight of this place.
This is a mix between a small market that sells wine, beers, kombucha, maple syrup, chips and the likes... alongside a snack bar restaurant that sells burgers, sandwiches, fries, soups with a few beers on tap.
I've tried a few of these mentioned items over my visits and I enjoyed all of their wares. It's not a 5 stars restaurant but the food is good and fair in prices. The place is clean, safe, got two clean bathrooms, staff is friendly and there's always room to sit.
They also let you hang out for a bit longer than you should, as long as you buy something which is super kind of them.
I'd recommend this place and will continue going on a weekly basis as long as I'm...
