Parked my rig walked five blocks excited to have maple ice cream for the first time. Brought my puppy. Darn… in front of the creamery Littles plops one. I pick it up and I look for garbage. I don’t see a can. Look around corner of the creamery, I see a garbage can. I plop the bag in. A person eating ice cream says “there’s a sign saying no doggie bags.” I looked up saw a blue sign with a list of rules. Put my hand in the garbage and pulled it out. Are you kidding me? I ended up not getting ice cream, no cans In proximity. I walked back close to my Van looking for garbage can. Maybe move your garbage can away from the your door making assessable for patrons. LAME.

So good and the owner is so sweet! We got a maple creemee with maple sprinkles and it was some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I’d been talking about for months that I missed soft serve custard from the boardwalk in NJ where I grew up (we live in NC) and this reminded me so much of home. Highly recommend. Editing to add a picture and say that we had an hour long conversation with the owner and it just confirms what I said before that he is so sweet and helpful. He gave us some great local recommendations and showed us the whole operation!

I came here for the Maple Walnut/Raspberry Swirl creemee. I've heard great things about this treat and how I "must try it" the next time I visit Burlington. So, here I am, and I'm glad I did! I was smooth and delicious. Not too sweet. It was about $4.25 and they accept credit card as well. It's right by the lake and children's museum, and makes the perfect cold treat to accompany your walk around the lake or the nearby shops on Church Street.

I've walked by this ice cream shack many, many times over the years when coming to Burlington. This shop ALWAYS has a sign out advertising maple creamees, this is Vermont slang for soft serve ice cream.

FYI, they had signs at the counter stating that this is a cash only establishment. This business is VERY conveniently located near ECHO the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain and the beautiful waterfront. If you do come here, I recommend grabbing a bite and sitting by the lake for an amazing sunset.

I'm not a HUGE maple syrup fan, so luckily they did have other flavors as well, so I went for a chocolate/vanilla twist. The ice cream here was disappointing, which is unfortunate. The ice cream was watery and not very creamy. I'd give it about a 6 out of 10.

Other items sold here include Powerade and bottled water, which is super handy since this is right off the bike path. They also have hot dogs, nachos, soda, coffee, slush puppies, milkshakes, sundaes and a couple of other things.

Wish the ice cream had been a bit better, overall it gets about 2.5...
