This place is incredible, and it has been for years. I spend so much time looking for out of town places to eat (something different) while I have Yum Yum right in my back yard. Despite that, I have been here numerous times over the years and always had REALLY great food. Truly a hidden gem. VERY good food at reasonable prices, especially with the 2022/2023 "transient inflation." No pictures on the menu because they aren't necessary. What you're thinking in your mind -- it looks, tastes, and smells even better than that. I'm trying not to fawn over Yum Yum or sound too generic. If you follow me or not, you can take it to the bank that Yum Yum lives up to its name. Every single time -- the veggies you want to crunch, crunch -- the veggies you want to be soft are soft -- all the meats are perfection. All the ingredients are obviously high-quality bite after bite. All the way down the end where you're sopping up the last of the sauce with your rice, which is even amazing by itself. Their food sticks to your ribs, too. None of that hungry again an hour later nonsense. Real food and real good food. Every time they bring out your food is a photo opportunity, but I always dig in before I can take a picture. The colors, aromas, and flavors are just amazing. It's just about impossible to be satisfied by asian food at other places after you've been to Yum Yum, and I've been all over the country and all over the world. Not a brag on myself, just trying underline just how freaking good this restaurant is. We have two restaurants in the Cincinnati metro that are as good as you're going to get anywhere, and this is...
Read moreWe walked in and ordered takeout. General Tso's Chicken with fried rice, Chicken Lo Mein, and spring rolls are what we ordered. The food was ok and hot. The restaurant was clean.
I felt General Tso's was a little bland for my personal taste (it wasn't bad). The rice was good. The quantity of rice was more than enough for me and I suspect two people could have shared it while still having some left. The quantity of General Tso's Chicken was also enough to feed two.
My gal enjoyed her chicken lo mein although she felt it was slightly oily or greasy. This dish was also served in a plentiful quantity, although if two people were eating it I'd recommend getting a side dish.
The spring rolls were delicious.
I have to say the service at this place was outstanding and they went above and beyond. My gal went inside and ordered our food . She came back out to the truck to wait with me. She was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Ten minutes later a young man walked up to her door, verified the order, and presented us with our food. That's top notch and something you don't see much of, anymore. We'll be...
Read moreWe enjoyed the food and the very friendly server who took our order at our table. They seemed busy with a lot of takeout orders. The food was prepared fresh to order and was very fast. The portions were very generous and very good. I have to say, I was happy to have choice of size for many dishes. I like to be able to order a small Lo Mein for myself and not have to order the large, like it seems so many other Asian restaurants are doing these days. If you are eating in, and not able to take leftovers with you, it is nice to have a proper amount to eat, not only so there isn’t wasted food but also for the value ( not paying for double amount). I got the small Shrimp Lo Mein and it was a plate full and I was able to finish most of it. Very flavorful w fresh onions, carrots and cabbage and the noodles were very good and not sticky or weird.
The dining room was nice, well lit and they had many drinks to choose from, including ice! I have avoided eating in at restaurants that I find...
