The "rejects" are priced to sell. I saw a 6 lb ten inch monster regular cheescake for $12. Six pounds! OMG..I passed, but, wow, what a deal! Lots of deals to be had: I believe 6 inch "rejects" were $3 bucks or 2 for $5. Impossible not to find a cheesecake you don't like. Non rejects available at good prices, or just grab a slice of your favorite cheescake you for around $4.75. I love this discount shop. Stopped in November 8th to pick up a few cheesecakes for Thanksgiving. Bought several, one was a chocolate swirl. That one was for me, now, not Thanksgiving. Dethawed in refrigerator for 2 days, sliced a piece off. It was horrible! Dryer out from over freezing. Like dry cake, no moisture! I called and did speak with jamila, a manager, who , said, next time I'm up there to ask for him, and will replace. Very nice. Now I hoping my other cheesecakes I bought for Thanksgiving are not freezer dried out! I will be very embarrassed if that occurs, but, no way to know until we cut them up on Thanksgiving. So, heads up. Stay away from the chocolate swirl, buying second, never meant you got a bad cake, so, I'm writing this off as an isolated incident. See jamil if anyone has had the same experience...
Read moreI first came here looking for the old 'Mother's Kitchen' cheesecake factory that used to be here. I'm glad that it was replaced by another cheesecake factory that offers similar products.
They have great deals on cheesecakes if you go inside and purchase from their discounted sale items. Their sale items are usually cheesecakes that have minor physical imperfections, but still taste great and have the same taste as their regular ones. They have a huge variety of cheesecakes and flavors. When I went I picked up some mini cheesecake samplers, which came in a set of 12 and had regular, chocolate, chocolate swirl, and strawberry. I also grabbed a few regular cheesecakes on sale. I left with a bag full of cheesecakes for less than 20 dollars! For comparison, one smaller size Junior's cheesecake is 13 dollars at Shoprite.
The cheesecakes are wonderful quality, even the ones on sale. Can't say enough good things about this place! If you love cheesecake and have some time, definitely check this place out. Just be careful to not get lost in your way there, as it's not as straight forward due to...
Read moreIf you're down in South Jersey or Philly, you may never have heard the name, Junior's. It's a famous Brooklyn restaurant that has, possibly, the world's most famous cheesecake varieties. My wife and I made a special trip to Brooklyn during one Manhattan visit just to eat cheesecake there. Anyway, at the foot of the Burlington Bristol Bridge (Jersey side) is an industrial park, which includes... a cheesecake factory (small "f") now producing Junior's delicacies. That factory (used to be known as Mother's Kitchen) has a small "outlet" shop. They sell top quality "fancy" cheesecake/cake combos, such as carrot cake/cheesecake and red velvet/cheesecake. Delicious. But the reason we go is that they also sell frozen cheesecakes that did not quite make the quality cut. For instance, maybe a 7" cheesecake "cracked" after baking, and there's a mild gash across the top. Take my word that the quality of the cheesecake itself is first-rate, and if there's a slight cosmetic imperfection, I'm still gonna kill my diet... Check the website for hours. Used to be cash only, but now accepts...
