UMMM Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Burlington

I used to come here when I lived in the Mt. Holly area, even before gentrification started in the Burlington city center. The ice cream and shakes were top quality, high fat content, and the facility was clean and very well maintained. Just went back yesterday for a visit and my disappointment meter almost wrapped the indicator pin around the far end of the "Aw Shucks" scale. The product was Ice Milk. Crystalline, thin, and both the vanilla and chocolate chip mint left an artificial flavor aftertaste in my mouth. My waffle cone, two scoop order was broken when delivered to the table by an youngster, without apology or offer to redo the order. I judged the decor and cleanliness of the bathroom and seating area mediocre. Nothing to recommend to anyone and I will not go back in the future. You can't get a better setting for dessert in the surrounding area. You want to sit at Curly's sandwiched between Route 130 North and South? You want to drive to Columbus or Delran for other specialty ice cream shops or stand in an endless line at a Rita's? No, no you don't.

The warm, inviting feeling of this Burlington City establishment will have you coming back. UMMMs is a place to make memories. Whether it's biking there with your friends after school for a Boost slushie or taking a date there on a hot summer's eve to get a double scoop and walk along the Delaware.

This ice cream place is just expensive for nothing. We ordered ice cream sundae and spilt banana boat. Very casual taste nothing special in the flavors. I give Brayers ice cream more stars then this place. Would not go back! Please check the reviews from other customers. I am not the only person complaining. By the way I asked for strawberry ice cream with strawberry syrup as “topping”. Instead I got vanilla ice cream with strawberries on top. I respect and support small owned businesses.
