My mother went to La Cascia’s for years. I was going by and stopped due to my memory of her buying from there. I am now 52. I ordered a lot of pastry. The girl behind the counter wanted to know how many items would I be getting. I said I am not sure. She pressed, and I said probably 12. I was not done at 12, and she informed me I was at 12. “There was no more room in the box.” She seemed so annoyed. Really? I am spending, and she is complaining. I got say another 6 items, and she asked if I was done yet. Mind you I was not delaying between items. She handled an item and I said another, my slight pause was due to my son asking for cookies. I was now annoyed ordered the cookies and said I was done. I had asked about breads behind her. “Those are reserved”, seriously do not put them where customers can see them! I asked about the French bread next to the “reserved bread”before I started it was not reserved so I ordered one. She forgot it. I had to go back in line to get it. Awful customer representative in baked goods. The Deli counter service was good. The products. I swear the cutlets looked like they came prebreaded from Somewhere else looked like a Shaw’s cutlet. Didn’t get. The lasagna looked delicious and was. The French bread was very good. The fruit tart was not good at all. The creme was pasty, the tart soggy. The mocha cake was good. The Pizzelles were ok/good and they only have anise ones. Blueberry muffins were just ok. The Whoopie pies my husband liked. My son said they had a chemical after taste. The seven layer bars were very good. The black and white cakes were not good at all. With so many good bakeries 15 minutes away I have no clue as to how this place stays in business. The last time I went in the bakery was fast great service. January of 2023 Unfortunately the bakery can't pull the weight of the deli section. I waited while several people ignored me when there was really no one there. I didnt get inline because there was no line and I figured I'm not ordering anything like hot subs or sandwiches I just wanted peppers...The women were busy chatting.... after keeping my mouth shut for more then 15 minutes for a item that would take 10 seconds I said forget it they just lost a sale and a customer..I let the cashier know as I paid for bakery items. I also mentioned to many friends and family of my bad experiences. This does not reflect the great guys that cook and some of the good food they make. All it takes is 3 bad experiences which they dont care about and I move on. I noticed a couple of employees where the same ones I had complained to owner about before. Now I question was it even the owner or was it a manger saying it was the owner.

Read moreI'm sad to write this review about a specialty cake we got from lacascias for my sister's graduation. We have been using lacascias as our go to for desserts and cakes for over 15 years now for anything for my family, they usually come out great and taste amazing. The decorator (Tony) made a cake far from expectation, the piping was rushed and the M was illegible, it looked like an odd H. The cake was fairly large and had 2 flowers in 2 of the corners, the flowers looked like they were meant for cupcakes because they were so small and essentially swirls. Most of the customer service was great when we went back to fix the cake, EXCEPT for Tony, she was extremely defensive and kept telling us "that's just how she does it". Her poor attitude made us decide we will probably not be going back in the future. We asked for a new decorator, who was very nice and understanding, she had clear handwriting and made beautiful flowers. Her name is Amanda if you would like to request her to decorate (which I recommend).
