St. John's Club is a relic from a time and place when/where customer service was irrelevant to business. I assume they own the property outright or they could never get away with the extreme, and unprovoked rudeness they showed my family last night. I, my husband, our 6YO and another couple went there last night, on a Friday when they are open to the public. We've all been there many times before, usually with members. For no logical reason we can discern, they kicked us out for having a kid with us despite the fact that there are always kids there and it's known as a family-friendly place. Our daughter has been there many many times and I counted three other kids on the way out. What's more, she was just sitting in her chair quietly drawing pictures not bothering anyone. When they came and told us I was surprised, but polite, and said we'd leave after finishing our drinks and that seemed to be that. Then someone else came by and told us to leave immediately. I can't get my head around why we were singled out. The only thing I can think of is that it was getting crowded on a beautiful night and they wanted to make more room...

Great place except for the head bartender. Had a great time and paid my tab and was walking out when a few friends walked in. I asked him to reopen the tab so I could but them drinks. He said “No, we don’t reopen a tab once it is closed”. That is a perfect example of a “ I make rules as I go” way to scare away members....
