The Lounge — Restaurant in Burlington

After reading the reviews online, we( my girlfriend and I) decided to pay this place a visit what a disappointment! I only gave this place 2 stars because the staff at the checkin was very friendly as well as the young lady who took out order at the food counter. She bought out food to us at the bar and thanked us talk about exceptional customer service. And that's where the great service ended. The older lady( lighter skin) bar maid was RUDE! Not one thank you nor did she ask us did we want anything else. Instead she was too busy twerking or whatever she was trying to shake and randomly texting on her phone. I really wanted a cup of ice but didn't bother asking her. I can't say anything about the music other than he went from playing Lil Kim (Old School)to some liquor house song on to some rap songs I never heard of I think the music has a lot to do with where you are from. Visited this place for the 1st time. Nice atmosphere...love the patio option. Food was ok...ordered the fish which was cooked perfectly but lack seasoning. My friend ordered wings which he said were "very greasy."

The bathroom needs a complete renovation..One of the faucets were broken in the ladies room, bathroom was small and dirty..Just washed my hands..wldnt do anything else. My friend said Men's bathroom was the same. I'm guessing they're expecting ppl to be so drunk they wldnt notice..

The ladies and gentleman at the bar were very friendly and polite. However, The tequila sunrise I ordered was very watered down wth juice. I've had way better and way stronger. It tasted like fruit punch.

Also one of the bartenders i noticed was touching EVERYTHING, taking money and cards and then would dig her bare hands in the bin to take out limes, oranges etc to put in drinks. That completely turned me off! That's how so many disease and illnesses are spread. They must do way better than that. That's very unsanitary.

The Lounge is a hidden gem and 100% family-owned, which you can feel the moment you walk in. The wings alone are worth the visit—up to 10 flavors, and every single one is AMAZING! Whenever my kids come home from college, they demand we go to (The lounge) for some wings. Also, thier equally impressive soul food menu, and homemade sides are FIRE !🔥

They’ve recently joined DoorDash (dangerous in the best way), but trust me—you want to experience this place in person. The cocktails are top-tier, the vibe is always on point, and if you’re into cigars, they’ve got you covered. Sundays are next level with fun-day energy and a DJ spinning at least once a week.
