October 6, 3pm went to the Byron Center MI Auntie Anne's to claim my "free reward" from my past purchases that accumulated points. Wanted to get the original Pretzel Dog but the counter person said it wasn't available even though I mentioned I would wait for one to be made. She said they were having a problem getting in supplies for this item. So I opted for the Mini Pretzel Dogs.
Bad choice and a waste of my 250 points!!! Don't know if it was the time of day, if the item was sitting in their case for a long time or whatever...the breading was stale, chewy and burnt on the bottom! Dogs were also chewy and tasted gummy from the shortening in the dogs or from the bread.
Will never order any item sitting in Auntie Anne's warming case!!!
I strongly suggest waiting the few minutes it may take for them to make your order fresh even though they may be reluctant to honor...

"And what's the deal with peanuts on airplanes?" 😂 But pretzels at Auntie Anne's are different from your normal mall pretzel flair. So far my favorites are the Cheesy Jalapeno, Pizza Bites, and the Cinnamon Sugar - which taste almost like an elepant ear. They also serve drinks, slushies, Pretzel Dogs, and Pigs-in-a-Blanket. Maybe 4 other people. They had the line set up in a way that forced you to walk back through the line of people to get to the spot where straws and napkins were.
