Casa Mexico Restaurant LLC — Restaurant in Byron

We’ve been eating at Casa Mexico for about 10 yrs now. The food has always been good, but we’ve had minor issues here and there, never anything major until last night. On 7/27 we ordered 2 House Specials, 2 Steak Quesadillas and large cheese bowl. While my daughter was eating her quesadilla, she discovered a black hair in her food. I told her to throw it away. I felt bad so I gave her the rest of mine. She found another black hair in it!! At this point I called the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager on duty, to call back in the morning and speak to one. The girl didn’t even ask what the problem was! I told her about the hairs and she said the same thing, call in the morning and talk to the manager. So I did just that. This time I talked with Luis, who said he was the manager. I explained what happened. He then said in all his 25 years (of being in the business I guess) he’s never had that happen. Then he tells me he’s not saying I am but he deals with people making that kind of stuff up all the time. Really?! He finally tells me he’ll give me another steak quesadilla. I told him I didn’t want another quesadilla, I wanted my money back. He said that wasn’t gonna happen, so I say ok, give me half my money. He told me I should have brought it back that night, I said she should have said that and I would have. Then he asked me what time I called back last night and I told him exactly. He said he would talk to the girl I spoke with and call me back. He called back about an hour later after talking to her. He informed me the girl I spoke with the night before was Giselle and he said she had been there for 10 yrs. We hen he talked to her, she told him she had told me to bring the food back. She lied!!! He actually told me I was putting him in a rough position! So he decided he was going to give me 20% off my bill the next time I dined with them. Do you really think I will every spend another dime with you after finding not one but two hairs in my food, you made excuses and act like I’m just trying to get a free meal, AND your staff lies to save their own butt?! No sir, I won’t spend another dime in Casa Mexico and I will tell everyone just how unprofessional and nasty this...

Even though I had an okay time at this establishment - the service was okay, but the food and drinks were good. I ate just about half my meal and asked for a togo container. Left a tip because I understand most servers get paid this way. I realized that I had left my togo while I was arrived back to my hotel (which is literally two minutes from the restaurant plaza). I called back in and I told them that I’d come back and pick it up and the manager said they threw it away (which I can understand). However, when I explained to her that I only ate less than half of my food and also left a tip, she insisted that they could do nothing. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. I’m not satisfied with the way that situation was handled because she was dismissive, and operated without any attempt for resolve to satisfy my dissatisfaction. I paid almost $50 for less than half of a meal and the tip that I left. I was not asking for a refund or another full meal - as a paying and tipping customer that was trying to be reasonable, I was met with a too bad so sad kind of response which did not make my business feel valued. Customer service is what makes people want to come back and I’m in town for work frequently but unfortunately I won’t be returning to here. If anyone else has an experience that’s not reasonably favorable from this establishment, I hope it gets handle with the customer...

My family and I have been eating here forever, it was our favorite spot. We go here for birthdays, date nights, even the night we got married.... absolutely amazing, Until tonight... Husband and I walked in, Very sweet host, seated us quickly. Really nice guy. We sat there for probably 10 to 15 minutes before our waitress brought menus. They were not super busy btw. Then she comes and gives us menus and asked if we would like appetizers and drinks, so we said yes, 2 sweet teas and a large cheese dip. Then gives us a few minutes with the menu. Comes back and asks if we were ready to order, we said yes and ordered. I had grilled chicken tacos, and wanted a side order of shrimp. We watched her laugh and cut up with staff, sit down in a booth and play on her phone for about 15 minutes, then our food was up. We'll, she brings the food and asks if we need anything else. I blankly stared at her and asked if we could have our drinks and cheese dip That should have been out before her tiktok binge on her phone. Then the side order of shrimp didn't come, so I asked about it and apparently they tucked a few pieces down in my chicken tacos. The young man at the register was the one who also seated us... He was really nice and actually took note of...
