White Water Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Cañon City

Place is expensive and seems like 100 people working there but you will wait on drinks even if you're at the bar. They have one bar with sometimes 3 bartenders that have to cover the entire place. Most the staff I would say are just kids but it's a seasonal place. Be sure you ask what's what as it changes a lot and if you want a big draft beer it'll be in a mason jar or something. Food is ok. I've tried the sliders, Nacho's, sandwiches. Unless you like string fries a lot I would get a different side. I'm a local and Thursday is discount day. Always have to remind them. Entertainment is nothing special. They have DJ's, karaoke and live bands some Saturdays. Seen hairmegeddon there and they were interesting, wouldn't do it again. Must be world famous cause of the location as nothing else is better than anything I've ever witnessed. If you ride a motorcycle like I do be careful in the parking lot. Try to stay on the heaviest driven areas and away from buildings. They fill holes in with rock and you go in one of them holes your going down. I'm not sure where the rafting staff eats and drinks. Hoping they are getting deals as they wouldn't be keeping any earnings working the summer and socializing. Personally it'd be nice to see several places go in up by the gorge but from the sound of it this owner has bought...

Salty food and salty service. Was very disappointed. The reviews looked good, but unfortunately our experience was not good. We had high hopes. Service was bad from the hostess, to the server, to the manager. The restaurant was at half capacity -at best. The hostess took a very long time to get us a seat , even though there was no wait. We figured maybe they were in between a shift change. But then once we got seated we were ignored for 30 to 35 minutes at the table. After I approach the manager and asked who our server was twice, someone finally came over and greeted us. We ordered an appetizer and food all at the same time. But the appetizer came out with the food. The food was very very salty. When we wanted a side of ranch we couldn’t get a waitress to come by or make eye contact. I had to get up and ask a manager for ranch and let her know that the waitress kept forgetting about us and she said no apology… only said they were busy. After my husband had to ask for the ticket from the manager he mentioned to the waitress that our appetizer came out with our meal and she said that’s just how things are done here without an apology again. Brought me the wrong burger then tried telling me I ordered the bacon and biue when I ordered the bacon cheeseburger would never order a blue cheese bacon burger then brought me the correct burger but rare I would never ask for rare then they didn't bring the lettuce tomato and onion until I asked why they didn't bring that with my new burger they said they thought I would have saved the lettuce and tomato and onion to put on my new burger from my old one now why would anyone do that with blue cheese taste on it they know they took that back with my blue cheese burger when it was sent back they had no sense of accountability for their mistake so after eating my raw bacon cheeseburger I saved a peice of raw burger just to let the waitress know that it was very undercooked and she said they are all cooked medium when I pointed out it was clearly rare she said well you ate most of it didn't you I'll let you know the only reason I ate that is because she never came back around in time for me to give that one back to for a remake so I ate it because I wanted to eat at the same time as my friend and really didn't have 2 more hours to waste anyways I paid my bill and left very unhappy this place use to be excellent but...
