If you want a place that has a variety of sitting areas this is for you. The options of sitting areas are: indoor, outdoor bar, outdoor around the restaurant, covered 2nd floor separated balcony, and outdoor area under the balcony. We sat at the separated (a couple of feet away from the main building) balcony that overlooks the ocean. The breeze is felt with an open area enough for large parties. There are photo opportunities with a Puerto Rican flag back drop below the balcony and right in front of the indoor bathroom area. Enough of all of that. Let me tell you about the food. It was a good meal and we tried a selection of foods - lechón, chuleta guisada, chillo frito entero, empanadilla de camarón, chuleta frito, mofongo, arroz con gandules, pegao and habichuelas. Presentation was great. For the most part, it was reasonably priced. I thought $35 for the fried snapper was expensive, especially since it was small and did not come with any sides. For perspective, we ordered the dishes listed above with drinks for 7 people and the snapper was a third of the total cost. The best meal I have had this trip to Mayagüez! Daniel was our server, and was hospitable and attentive. Me and my sister had DELICIOUS parcha (passion fruit) mojitos and my parents had cold beers (Medalla & Corona). Now to the good part, the food! Everything was seasoned well and scrumptious.
