This is normally our go to place. We have enjoyed this over other Mexican restaurants in the area. However, today my daughter got hair in food. I kindly alerted a worker of the hair. Made no big deal, I get it, it happens. It could have ended there and this whole review would not be happening. The bigger issue came when we went to the register to pay and the woman proceeded to tell us it must be my daughters hair. My daughter has straight brown hair, the hair in the food was black and wavy. I also WITNESSED her bite into her food and it come out of the inside with melted cheese (yes I then was no longer able to stomach eating my food, because as much as I understand hair happens, its not a pleasant to have happen). When I told the worker that I seen it come out, she then started to blame the cheese company because only men work in the back... as my husband and I witnessed a long hair male come out of the kitchen. WE never once asked for a refund, made a scene or even said anything outside of letting the waitress know. Due to how this situation was handled, we will never return. Again, had we been demanding a refund or to not pay, I would have understood the dismissive attitude, but she met us with confrontation and did nothing but deflect and place blame on others. A simple kids cheese quesadilla just cost you loyal customers due to your attitude and approach to...
Read moreI don't normally leave bad reviews, but jeez. Husband and I went in during dinner hours. They weren't busy. Got us seated right away and informed us the fountain machine is broken. No biggie. Ordered 2 waters. Someone else delivers chips and salsa to our table. A few more minutes go by. A 3rd person finally asks if we had ordered drinks yet to which we reply 2 waters. He then yells across the restaurant to the guy who forgot our drinks that he had done just that. All is ok after this until the food shows up. My husband's molé looks and tastes ok. However, my burrito California is nearly inedible. Supposed to come topped with cheese sauce and pico de gallo. There's hardly any cheese (which is thin as water btw) and no pico anywhere. I don't complain and begin eating anyway as a party of 18 was getting seated next to us now. The onions were unchewable. As in they obviously hadn't peeled the outer layer off. The chicken had an odd, chewy texture that chicken simply should not have. And while I'm a big fan of cilantro, never thought there could be such a thing as too much, I was proven wrong. The service and food were subpar to put it very kindly. If you're looking decent texmex nearby, go to Guadalajara or better yet make the drive to Ward for Coco's. It's beyond worth the drive to avoid your inevitable disappointment from...
Read moreI called in two large chips & salsas and they were ready in 10 minutes. I showed up and my order was on the counter. I asked the cashier if I could add a large cheese dip and she said yes. She walked to the kitchen and brought out a 20 ounce styrofoam cup of cheese dip and said if I wanted chips it would be extra. I was confused because normally you would automatically get chips with your cheese dip. She punched buttons on the register and it was $23.40 without getting chips with my cheese dip. If I wanted chips it was going to be $29.??. I asked how much the two large salsas were and she said 6.99 each. The cup of cheese dip was $13.00 and didn't come with chips. I told her I didn't even want the $6.00 chips with my $13.00 cheese dip and ended up paying $23.40 for two large chips and salsas and one large cup of cheese dip. I won't be going back. I only bought the food because my daughter really wanted salsa and cheese dip. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT...
