I had high hopes after eating at LPC in Mississippi. This location left a lot to be desired. First off having to order at the register then go sit down creates a bottleneck in the restaurant. Asking for a tip at the register when you are waiting on yourself is another negative.
The plates and silverware we received had food stuck to them. The person helping us at the table brought 4 silverware when there was 5 of us. Not a big deal but again what if it’s busy. I had to get up and ask for another. Having to get up a down to ask for another beer is ridiculous. What if it’s busy? You have to wait in line to order another one?
We ordered fried raviolis, 3 tamale basket, garlic bread sticks, a medium thin cheese pizza and medium thin Kujo. The raviolis were hard. They seemed overcooked. The tamale basket was room temperature at best. The breadsticks had very little flavor. The marinara/pizza sauce served with appetizers tasted tinny. Lack of better words. I guess some people like that flavor. We weren't a fan of it. I expected the crust to be crispy. It definitely wasn’t that. That’s what I remember from eating at the LPC in MS. I could be mistaken though. Toppings were spread evenly across both pizzas. I think the ham/canadian bacon had an off flavor. Again it’s personal preference. The rest of the toppings were fine.
I usually give new restaurants 2 tries. I don’t think we will go back though. On top of everything stated above someone opened up the outside garage door. She did ask the table directly in front of it if she could open it. She didn’t ask our table if it was alright. We were right beside it. Our kids got cold. Our child hit her head on the rusty sign with screw heads sticking out. It wasn’t the screw head that got her. It was the rusty corner of the signage. We weren’t asked if anything was alright until we were leaving. I guess we as patrons have to wait in line to even express our concerns, needs or wants. We had high hopes only to be let down on this Saturday during their slow lunch. I wish I could have found a way to email LPC this book instead of posting a review online. I hope they correct...
Read moreThe good: Upon walk in, you’ll find an eclectic mix of decor that reminds you of being in your cool uncles garage. Lots to look at and a really fresh scene here in cabot. Walk up to the front register to place your order, pay, then choose your own seat. I’d suggest looking over the menu before you enter, it’s quite large and you will have to order on the spot, which can be a bit much with the long lines and only 2 registers. The bad: Decent food, a little bit more than “just okay” but leaves much to be desired. We tried several pizzas, an order of wings a salad, and the meatball sub as well as a dessert pizza. Out of everything that we tried, the pizzas struck out. The thick crust has a lovely crunch on the edges but is reminiscent to a certain chains pan pizza. The crust was a bit oily for my taste. The thin crust is not as thin as expected, and puts you more-so in the mindset of a pita bread.Toppings were also- just okay. Hot wings were fresh and came out crispy with a yummy sauce that was not too spicy at all. They paired well with the ranch, and the ranch was the saving grace of the entire meal! Meatball sub was unfortunately forgettable and nothing to write home about. At Lost pizza, the ranch dressing reigns supreme as the tastiest thing on the menu. The ugly: This place has a lot of room to grow when it comes to hospitality and customer service. Unfortunately there was an incident with one of our waitresses, that ruined the entire outing. Some of the girls working there are a bit passive aggressive and were at times rude. Thankfully, at least one person did apologize and try to remedy the embarrassing snafu caused by the waitresses. Would I go back to Lost Pizza? Probably not. Unless it was...
Read moreI take into consideration this is a new establishment, and I do appreciate any business willing to serve in small towns. I ordered a small thin crust Kujo for $11. It was pretty basic and haphazardly put together, but the taste was okay and the crust was good. It was definitely not worth $11. I think $6-$7 would be fair. I ordered a small ground beef thick crust. It was a bit sad looking and had a strange taste, but I couldn't pinpoint what ingredient was giving off the taste. I would not call this ground beef. See picture. I ordered the Delta Tamales. They were okay but a little dried out on the inside. They were also served in water. I don't know if that's customary, but I wouldn't order these again. Taste was okay, and I bet they're good when they're fresh. They were $7. I ordered a $4 house salad. It was so small the pickle wouldn't fit in the box. It's the smallest salad I've ever paid for. Garlic ranch is amazing and saved this iceberg salad's life. Queso was $7. It had a good taste and the chips were great. I would order this again, but not at a $7 price point. See picture. Overall, it's a nice change for the South side of Cabot. I know they're working out the kinks. I would suggest a strategy for people picking up to-go orders. I stood in line while I had already ordered, paid, and was looking at my food sitting there. I know food prices are high, and I understand that trickles down to consumers. That's understandable. I will definitely try it again, but I'm going to let it work out it's growing...
