Me and my wife are regular customers at grinds. Our whole family loves the quality of coffee and food they provide as well as supporting local business however for me today that changes. The heavyset blonde girl with acne (Only say that as identifying features not as an attack) took our order while they were slow and she acted as if us buying coffees (2 coffees not a huge order) was a massive inconvenience. She was extremely rude and had a poor attitude the entire time she took our order as well as managed to mess up the small order and start an arguement with me and my wife when we politely tried to correct it. Im extremely disappointed that we were met with such hostility and poor customer service at an establishment we all love so much. I dont believe this reflects the entire business but as an area trainer for AAA I dedicate my time professionally and understand on a deeper level how important customer service interactions are and how it can affect the atmosphere and success of businesses. I strongly encourage management to reasses who they have deal with the public as it can drive away business and affect their market- if shes incapable of doing her job efficiently and professionally encourage her to move on. This was a real put off for me and as much as I love their food and coffee I wont be returning based off of this experience.
Update: Our drinks were both ordered with whipped cream which is why it was added. Also if you "investigated" and were both "standing there" obviously this IS a company wide issue or it would have in fact been corrected then (Atleast id hope.) Your employee ringing up an incorrect order doesnt mean thats what we ordered the offer was never made to correct the drinks just to add whipped cream on an incorrect order which she did. I wouldve happily changed the order and paid any difference but her argumentative nature motived us to just leave. The experience you descibed does NOT reflect my first hand encounter- Nonetheless I understand trying to save face for your company and cant blame you there. Still heavily encourage you to do better- Again ill reenterate how poor customer service can heavily impact your business which prompted my review as I encourage all of our customers to do and had it been my company recieving this review I know we wouldve taken it more seriously and practiced personal accountability. When we went to leave your employee sarcastically told us to have a good day after arguing with us to which i replied a better attitude would definetly help everyone of us to do so. I stand firm on spending my money more wisely somewhere else where the atmosphete and customer service will be taken into account. Thanks John and best of luck with your...
Read moreI had a terrible experience today with the lady who owns The Grind. Last week I received a faulty coffee cup that resulted in quite a coffee mishap. Today she told me that nothing was wrong with their cups because nothing like that has ever happened with their cups in the past. And that it must have come from my cup holder or my doing. She was rude and all but called me a liar. The backstory: My family and I have spent a lot of money over the years buying coffee and food from there. We like supporting local businesses. There have been a few times my coffee was messed up over the years but they were fairly minor issues so I didn't make a fuss. I can only remember one other time where I brought anything to the attention of staff. And that was when there was a piece of garlic or sliver of something strange in my coffee. I was polite and they replaced my drink. Anyway, I came through the drive through last week and ordered a couple of things including a small coffee. When the girl handed me my coffee I immediately took a sip and noticed some coffee dripped on my lap. As I was holding it more drips so I sat it in my cup holder. I drove across town and about 5-10 minutes later I picked up the drink to take a sip and cofffe leaked on my lap. It was leaking a lot and coming from the bottom of my cup. It was like the cup was coming apart on the bottom. My daughter found a small plastic container that was in the back of our vehicle and I was able to catch the rest of the leaking drink. I called The Grind and explained to the girl what had happened. I was polite. I text a couple pics of the cup and you could see some of it on my lap. She said the owner would talk to me next visit. Today was that visit. I pulled up and she walked off and the owner returned with a smug look and informed me that could not have happened to her cup. It was RIDICULOUS customer service. I tried to tell her what happened again but she continued saying from her point of view it was not her cup that had the problem...but she would give me a coffee. I told her not to bother. After years of me ordering food and drinks did she really think I was a busy mom who put scoring a free small coffee on my daily agenda? I was nice until today. I am hurt and furious to be treated like that by a business my family supported. I informed her none of us would...
Read moreI went to grinds for a quesadilla. They have cheese, chicken, and steak with the option of adding double meat for extra money. So I kindly asked the sweet girl taking my order if I could have a steak quesadilla and I would like to add chicken to it. She said “one sec” and went to the back to ask the older lady (I’m guessing she is the manager or owner) if they could do that. She returned and said they could not do that. I said “no problem I will just have a steak quesadilla then”. Immediately the older lady with long grey hair came out and said “what do you want” very rudely. I explained to her that I simply wanted a steak quesadilla and if it was possible to add chicken I would like that but if not I would just take the steak. She said “that will cost extra”. Well obviously 🙄 I mean when u add something extra doesn’t it usually cost extra? So I told her that was fine. I finally get my food about ten minutes later. Obviously the old lady was mad bc my quesadilla was smashed and the grill lines in it were black and burnt. I looked in the quesadilla and there was barely any steak or chicken even though I paid extra to have both. This was completely unnecessary and so unprofessional of her. The employee did nothing wrong she was polite and sweet. That old lady with the long grey hair was completely out of line and intentionally ruined my food. Ridiculous! This was my first time going to grinds and because of that lady’s attitude and intentionally ruining my food I will...
