Stage 2 Games — Local services in Cabot

Stage 2 Games is hands-down one of my favorite places to hang out. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and they always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome—whether you’re a seasoned player or totally new.

They’ve got a solid selection of Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, D&D, and other TCGs, plus tons of singles if you’re hunting for that one card. Events are well-run and fun, especially the Commander nights!

Big shoutout to Phil for always keeping the place running smoothly and making everyone feel at home. And props to Wes (even though he’s no longer there)—his energy and passion definitely helped build up the great community vibe this shop has.

An up and coming small business in the Cabot area. Most "game" stores don't bother with video games but to top it off, they have an entire gaming lounge where you can play for free.

Their board game demo library is a little shy but they focus mostly on card games, video games and minatures. The minatures group comes from the surrounding area to play (probably because Tyrus is such an awesome employee) and you can find the game there often.

The magic players play commander on Wednesdays in a league and Fridays and have the occasional event.

Nice enough people, if you search them out. Don't expect them to ask if you need help finding anything unless you're looking at WoW cards, or sitting at one of the battle tables. PS4 selection extremely limited, and that seemed to be the feelings shared by the three other groups I encountered that, in so many words, all said, "that can't be all of the games," and walked off. I confess, I did the same thing. That was all of the games. So, if you're looking for a 40 year old balding guy, that's a know it all, is probably a virgin, and stands up and very loudly acts out a fictional card game battle, and why he's right and others are wrong.
