Pizza Plus — Restaurant in Cadillac

Pizza Plus is a favorite of the Cadillac Area. After looking at some photos online, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered a large Pepperoni pizza, with extra cheese. A pizza pocket with sausage, Pepperoni, green pepper, and onion. Finally two orders of their garlic Cheese bread. I was told it would be 35 minutes. So we went to pick it up. It was almost an hour before the order was ready. When I opened the pizza box it was a wet swamp of cheese! I am a cheese lover. It all looked delicious to me! At home I first tried the garlic cheese bread. It is definitely delicious. A 10/10. Everyone agreed on that. The pizza is another story. Even as a cheese lover, I'm telling you that you don't need that extra cheese . It made the thin crust soggy. The sauce and Pepperoni flavors were very unappealing. To much seasoning. Very overwhelmed with oregano. This pizza tastes very close to mall/fair pizza. It is a shame to me because the thin crust, if cooked a bit more, could make an amazing pizza with some lighter tomato sauce, and a bit better ingredients. The pizza pocket was the same situation. Overwhelmed With the sauce and Pepperoni flavors. I could not stomach it. The crust was very buttery and delicious, but could have been more well done as well.. The pocket itself was a good size. Compared with other places in town, the prices are pretty reasonable. I have tried the original sub many years ago. It was a 7/10. I personally won't choose pizza...

Pizza Plus is 100% the best pizza in Wexford County, zero contest. Soggy crust? Forget it. Dough that has the texture of a greasy pillow? No thanks. The Pizza Plus signature crust is to die for. Hot and crispy, perfectly contrasting the toppings. Juicy chicken, meat, etc along with that amazing cheese blend. Every bite is a miniature Van Gogh for your mouth. It is art. Simply enough? Good pizza. Great Pizza. One could even say Legendary Pizza. Family owned and operated with a smile. Pleasant people, quality, down to earth atmosphere. 10/10 pizza. Try any other place around here, and you'll only be thinking of Pizza Plus the whole time you're eating that lesser-quality slice of pizza. The recipe for the Pizza? Secret and delicious. The recipe for Pizza Plus success? It's quite obvious. Great Place, Pizza, and People. Enough said. Pizza...

The pizza is fine, they do care about ingredients as I saw them cutting the tomatoes and the onions seemed freshly chopped, but my big issue is with the crust. It's a bit too airy and flavorless, crunchy but with no interior chew. A bit like a large under-salted cracker.

The real issue was the wet burrito. Now I understand you don't get Mexican food from a pizza place, but this was pretty impressive disregard for what Mexican food has ever been. The Wet Burrito was a flour tortilla wrapped around some finely minced beef with taco seasoning. Then instead of enchilada sauce, The burrito is covered in marinara sauce with some taco seasoning mixed in. I can't fault them too much, because I'm the one who ordered a burrito, and it's only $6... But I certainly won't recommend it to anyone.
