Calabash Sweets & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Calabash

Great ice cream but horrible service. Hours weren't posted. Our group of 6 plus several other groups came in around the same time. We ordered our ice cream and sat down. The group behind us was given an attitude and the customers asked "are you closing?" The employees didn't really give an answer. The next group ordered and the two employees were openly complaining about customers. Final straw was when one female employee shouted to male employee "I hope these people leave soon" while staring at our group. Needless to say, we won't be back. I have worked in service industry before and understand being frustrated with late customers (again we didn't see any hours posted)...but I also know that we were made to feel like a burden, not like a group of paying customers. When we left the parking lot, the other groups were all eating their ice cream in their vehicles and were discussing the poor service. Calabash Creamery is worth the long lines instead of this...

Overall experience wasn’t the best. The poor young girl at the front was all by herself with a long line. Still, she wasn’t too happy when asked to make an açai bowl. She asked my wife to write all the sides down vs writing it down herself. Very odd. The strawberries were not fresh but the sugar syrup ones. Was sent by my Job as a travel blogger to review calabash creamery. They were closed for the holidays and we came upon calabash sweets and ice cream.
