If I could give this location lower than one star I would, I don't like to review this low, I feel like it's horrible to do so however, this location has made mistake after mistake after mistake with our orders. This is our local sonic, we love sonic's food... Typically, when they make it correctly it's amazing food.
So, tonight's adventure to sonic... Hubby waited over 30 minutes after he ordered, still no food... so he hit the button again and they said they didn't have his order. He had it paid for and everything. They finally figured that out and brought him the TWO sonic blasts that he ordered, this was a very small and simple order started at approx 8:30 PM, so not even peak busy times.
They finally made our ice cream and he came home.
He ordered a cookie dough sonic blast, this is supposed to be ice cream, flavoring, and cookie dough chunks. It's VERY common for this location to leave all the flavor syrup at the bottom of the cup without mixing it, then add the cookie dough chunks to the top. The blasts are supposed to be blended.
Tonight's order was simply plain ice cream, which tastes unsweetened, I'm assuming their plain ice cream for blended drinks is lower sweetened to allow them to mix all their mix ins in and not be overwhelming. There was NO flavoring at all, so this quite literally tastes like frozen heavy cream, with no sweetener. Oh, and about a quarter cup of cookie chunks at the top.. NOTHING was mixed at all. NOTHING tastes even remotely like it should.
I really really hate that this is our local Sonic, because I typically like this chain, a LOT, but this particular location needs some SERIOUS training!!!!! It's inexcusable to have THIS many problems so frequently when we go.
They've messed up SO many times, never offered any sort of reimbursement, or offered to fix the order. They don't even apologize most of the time.

This place however, is garbage, I have started opting to drive an extra couple of miles to get a snack. I don't expect much from a fast food place, but my issues with this place is this:
The employees have been, in general, very rude. I am in culinary, I own my own establishment, I know what its like to have a bad day, and I ALWAYS say thank you to my servers, even at fast food places. I have never, ever, heard the staff say anything courteous to me here, it's usually something along the lines of "here you go".
The thing that pisses me off most, is if your order takes a while, they dont say "hey can you pull through while we get this done" or "sorry, your order will be out in a sec", no, they go out the door, without saying a word to you and start serving the cars behind you, then go back to #1, "here you go". I've sat there without a word while 3 cars behind me were served, twice.
The final straw was the last time I was there, I ended up sitting at the drive threw saying "hello?" into the speaker for several minutes during business hours not getting an answer, I even had employees out serving other people, come out, look at me, then go back in, twice. I ended up driving off, and so did the person behind me...
Read moreMy children visited the Caldwell location tonight for a slushie and 2 kid shakes. After 30 minutes in line, the speaker in the drive thru wasn’t working, so my daughter drove up to the window to place her order. She was told she couldn’t just be “bumped to the front of the line”, and her order was placed after those behind her who had no issues with ordering through the speaker system. She then waited an additional 15 minutes before I called to see why 3 drinks were taking so long. The “manager”, Paula, admitted to saying she couldn’t “bump them to the front of the line” and it would be awhile for their order because they were busy. I said, “Your speaker system failing wasn’t my daughter’s fault and everyone in line behind them had already been served and left”. She said, “I’m not going to listen to you yell at me, we’re very busy”. I was definitely stern, but far from yelling. I called my daughter and told her to just come home, as their customer service is apparently not important to them. We will NOT be visiting Sonic again, but instead will seek small businesses to support within the community that truly want...
