C & C's Mosquito Inn — Restaurant in Caledonia

Ive heard they have a good fish fry so i arrived to a somewhat full place, we sat at the bar, food did take awhile but that was to be expected at 5:30, i ordered the battered cod and my freind a huge plate of walleye, i had started before a picture so i have the walleye picture, my large flaky cod was very good though and liked the light battered breading, tarter was good as was the cole slaw, a half piece of rye bread, i didn't get butter but i didn't ask either, option is frys or potato pancakes, i get the frys, i saw others with a cookie i guess its there way of saying thanks, neither of us received the desert cookie though and i wasn't about to ask because i wasn't really interested or mayve they ran out, im definitely going back, i read a couple reviews of staff not so friendly but there very very busy but everyone was nice to us and smiles, most places wished they had such a good staff, i recommend mosquito inn for fish, if in a hurry my guess...

Horrible service. The experience was absolutely appalling. The owner should be utterly embarrassed by the female bartending staff. If you tip, do this directly to the cooks as they worked very hard and deserve the recognition and compensation, the food was great. The female bartenders however, should be replaced immediately. They were not only very, very rude, they were also extremely unavailable, by choice, to not only our group of professionals but the entire establishment. I have never seen such blatant laziness in employees. Literally a waist of time walking into the Mosquito inn. I was invited to a small retirement gathering for a colleague and I will never return. Not even for two beers , you'll be there for three hours . Waiting and waiting and...

The food is pretty good if you don't mind waiting 90+ minutes for it. Commented on their Facebook page and they deleted my feedback and blocked me. Not sure why they can't handle constructive criticism. All I asked for was some explanation as to why the food was taking so long. No one seemed to be hustling. The kitchen wasn't even busy. We weren't the only ones concerned about the wait. Several other couples paid and cancelled their orders. Others almost left. A little explanation and compassion would have gone a long way. We drove 45 minutes to try the restaurant.
