We came in here because my little girl was wanting some bean and cheese gorditas and I didn't want to drive to Dalton. We went in and ordered 4 bean and cheese gorditas (2 for each of my kids) and 1 carne asada and 1 barbecoa gorditas. We then got a horchata as well. We had a 20 minute wait (despite no one else there in the place, I guess to go orders called in before ours?). One lady there from the time my daughter and I came in to the time we left was walking around and giving us a mean look. Granted she could just have a RBF, but still didn't sit well. We went to check out and the price charged was $4.50 per gordita despite the menu saying $4.00 (covered with written paper). This brought our total for 6 gorditas and a horchata to $32.
When we got it home and opened it up, everything looked good. I had the barbecoa first. The flavor was alright, but the meat was a bit dry, even with the salsa. Next I tried the carne asada. The flavor here was bit better than the barbecoa. Plenty of fillings on both of these. I tried the horchata and it had good flavor. It's what I expect as you standard horchata. My kids got into theirs. Can't say that they did too well of a job here. The beans had a very thin layer and the cheese way over powered the flavor, which they were loaded with twice as much (atleast) cheese as there were beans. It was almost like biting into a package of cheese. It was very dry. They couldn't even finish them. Fed them to the dog and even he had to go and get plenty of water. Not sure if we'll return, if we do, it will be to just give them a second chance. No military discount...
Read moreI have never made a bad review to any restaurant, coming from someone who works in a restaurant as a server. Salsitas has excellent tacos and food, but every time I come the service is always worse then b4. I go maybe once or twice a year now. But I’ve gone to salsitas since I was 15 and I’m 20yr old now. Nothing has changed with service from 5 years. They are so rude, and have terrible people skills. But their food is what drives their business. Which is the only reason I still eat there although not often at all. Wish they would treat non Spanish speakers the same as English speakers. But when my brother goes in there (non Spanish speaking) they act like he’s not even there. Which is not a way to treat customers considering my brother was ordering for me not himself. The disrespect and rudeness is never forgotten. I would never recommend salsitas to anyone bc of there aweful service/customer service in my opinion is extremely important. Wish they...
