Green Tea Garden — Restaurant in California City

Seriously so disappointed in the customer service, or lack thereof. I have enjoyed coming to this place for the past couple years but I will never be coming here again after the experience I had today. Other dishes I have ordered here in the past I’ve liked—which is why I have been coming back. Today, I ordered a dish (for takeout) I hadn’t before tried and this was the first time I ended up not liking it at all and couldn’t eat my meal. So I called them asking if they could accommodate me in replacing it for a new dish I could enjoy (also mentioned that I would keep this in mind so I know just not to order this specific thing in the future because there are others I know I enjoy) but she (the owner I believe), just kept telling me that that’s how they have made it for years and will not replace it for something else (it should not matter if that’s been a restaurants recipe or not, if we as customers don’t end up liking what we ordered, enough to not be able to eat, we should be accommodated to get something else — we pay & tip respectfully to be served in return in an appropriate professional manner). Be aware and cautious when ordering here because you will not be accommodated at all if you order something you don’t like or can’t eat. Me and my wife decided to come to this place for our wedding anniversary. The server asked us what we wanted to drink amd we asked for a sweet wine. The server didnt know anything about the wines that were served at the restaurant and said that they ony have 1 red wine and brought it to us. Thw wine tasted dreadfully awful and asked the older server if we could switch drinks for something else on the menu. All the older server cared about was losing $10 if she traded out the wine for a plum wine which the first server knew nothing about. We felt as though the older server was scolding us for trying to waste $10 at the restaurant on 2 glasses of wine on our anniversary. We didnt mind paying for another 2 glasses but it was just the bad attitude given by the older server that stopped us and the fact that we wanted to avoid a confrontation on our special day. My family and I have been coming here for over 10+years. I've yet to have any bad experiences whatsoever. If you get there for their lunch specials, it's even that much better! Their food is not only freshly made and and their prices affordable but the quantity of their meals is so great that you'll find yourself asking for a box to take some back home for later. Now, if you're like me and like having a drink every now and then, this is the place to go ahead and try out. I say try out, because they've got a pretty neat selection of drinks I had not only never tried but had never heard of either. For example they've got a drink called, The Scorpion, another called The Rattlesnake, and so on... Now, you know how some places serve alcohol drinks, but when you go to sip it it tastes like Hawaiian Punch and such, well not here. Here you'll get exactly what you pay for, a drink with "alcohol."
