Primo Burgers #14 — Restaurant in California City

First of all, I'd like to share my horrifying and rude experience at this place. It all started with a visit to this place, when I politely walked in with my husband to order some breakfast. We clearly stated our order, but to keep the conversation short after arriving at our location, the order was short a burger, and with four extra fries, which I clearly didn't order! I called immediately to bring to their attention. A manager answered, "I told her, "I just left your establishment, and i'm short a burger, as well as I received four extra fries that I never ordered." She then started to escalate the conversation to an argument, which I tried to de-escalate to no avail. Then, the manager demanded my order receipt. After not receiving one, I told her, "Ms. I was never given a receipt, and it also happened to another lady that I also observed asking for a receipt as well." The manager then switched to defendeding their mistake and thus demaded that she didn't take my order and needed the receipt. I then could see people in the place getting up, leaving as the manager continued her argument about the food that they made the mistake with. Finally, I told her I'd go the car and get my husband as a witness for the meal. I went out and brought my husband into the place, and quickly he responded, "The correct answer to the question. In my opinion, my husbands answer didn't appear to satisfy the manager at all, as she started yelling and abusing us even more. I told her, "You're not being respectful to us at all, with your constant negotiations, im my opinion to take our money from this order!" After excepting the $15.00 back from the fries. After realizing I had left my burger, I called and informed them I was returning for the burger. After arriving back to the place, I was met by the owner, and he rushed over to me, yelling, pointing his finger directly in my face... and demading that I better not ever say I'm calling the police to their establishment and scaring his employees again! I felt completely degraded, and confused by this establishments demure, especially the MANAGER and the OWNER.

To anyone going to this place to eat, please take my advice, get your receipt, and check your food before you leave every time. In my opinion, I rate this place an F for...

When it first opened we were excited to have something different other than McDonald’s, Pizza or Mexican food. But that joy was short lived!

What I’ve ordered: Steak Quesadilla Shrimp Basket Pastrami Sandwich Burger with Ortega chili and cheese I ordered their salad once and it was not that great! I ordered there breakfast burritos once and that ended up in the trash! And I’m not a picky eater, but it was really bad! Did not taste good at all. 2 Pancake Breakfast (which I guess wasn’t too bad! Their sausage links were good. My husband always ordered their biscuits and gravy and for lunch or dinner he’d get a bacon cheeseburger with fries after getting meat that wasn’t cooked all the way through he was over it! Pink meat on our burgers was the last straw! My Son use to get their Asada Fries I always ordered their shake with chocolate and banana flavor mixed!

Moreover, they don’t wear gloves while handling pre cooked or already prepared food! The manager told me that it wasn’t a health violation. I know handling food before it’s cooked is acceptable, but once it’s already cooked and being wrapped up gloves are required in food handling by law.

The food was great on our first and second visit. But the last few times we’ve ordered out from Primo Burger, California City was just one unsatisfied visit after the next.

My Son even told me… Your still going there after knowing it’s not that good? I said: You know your right! Why am I still getting food from there?

I mean I don’t mind spending money on good satisfying food… But every visit we’ve spent anywhere from 40 to 60 bucks and I ended up throwing most of my food away. So forget it!

Sorry Primos… But I’m done throwing my money and food away on you guys.

Nasty McDonald’s it is! Even though we’re sick of it, it’s not half as bad as Primos… Until this town puts something better here with a drive thru. The complaining will continue.

These same old eateries are getting old here in Cal City! Bring us some Del Taco or Wendy’s or...

I only gave it 3 stars for service because the young lady was super nice when we walked in (me and my husband) this was our second time coming and trying to like the food and support local restaurants (against our better judgment) but we ordered dine-in and was told our food would be brought to our table but when our food was ready a number was called (a number we didn’t receive) and “your food is getting cold” was repeated instead of wondering why we weren’t responding to a number she just kept yelling a number out(another woman not the young lady at the front) so when I got up to see if it was ours my husband said that we were told that our food would come to us so we never got a number,she said there wasn’t a note as if it was our fault or trying to blame the young lady and she did apologize and fixed everything and brought our food to us. We got a chilli cheese dog(with a side order of fries and a midium drink because it doesn’t come with it) and a chilli cheese burger special and it came up to a little over 30$. the cheese was not fully melted as most reviews here would say and the hot dog taste like a sausage. the lunch food is mid at best so my husband tried to get some thousand island sauce for his burger but was met with having to pay .50 cents for it and I get times are hard but I felt after messing up our order it should have been a no brainer to just let us get one for free for customer satisfaction. It make since for the first sauce to be free and pay for extra but it’s not my business however maybe trying the breakfast will be the best bet it’s a cute little dine-in spot but nothing I’d miss about the place if I...
