La Conquista — Restaurant in California City

After finding a cockroach in my drink which was a tequila sunrise it was on special.. I would have really thought the owner would have handled it differently my fiance and I have been going there for a couple years now every chance we get to go on a date night we go there it's a friendly comfortable environment with drinks and a pool table and good food but after the other day I will never go back after telling them I had a cockroach in my drink have it all employees around hello excuse or answer to me was maybe it was in the ice my first response I've discussed was if you couldn't see it in clear ice then why would you be able to see a cockroach in my meat I do not want my order that I ordered to go and I don't want the rest of the food I have on my table thank you so then they tried to charge pay for the mill and just give me my drink free no no honey I didn't finish my mail because of that made me disgusted now I have to go down the street to get them dinner for my grandmother and finish eating now they send somebody to look at my plate she comes back and says what she ate half of it so they wanted to charge me half the price oh no no I was halfway through my dinner when I found the baby cockroach in my drink you think you would have just said up sorry that no would have been on him and everything would have been cool I understand it's a restaurant they get bugs it said it tells me if I don't pay I can't come back fine with me sweetheart I should have known the last time I was there when I signed my credit card receipt with a pin from the freaking bug control little bit more Better Business etiquette wood have...

Great service and cool atmosphere. Maybe good for drinks here but the food I ordered which was 2 orders of chicken nachos around 13 eac which is avg price. The chips had that old taste like they were made weeks ago. The guacamole wasn't hand made. Store bought. Cheese not sharp at all, pretty mild taste.

Salsa tasted great but other than that the chips being the main part of the dish is just insane to me that it was that bad when it comes to freshness and they let it be sent out tasting that off. DE-LI-CI-OUS! Fresh tasting food made with quality ingredients! I had the carnitas burrito w/rice, beans, and tortilla soup. The burrito was packed with nice chunks of perfectly roasted/grilled pork. Not dry at all! The soup was wonderful- the beans and rice were fresh, light, and tasty. My husband had Steak Banderilla and he LOVED it! It was a great variety of avocado, veggies, and bite of pineapple... combined with a nicely grilled New York steak! He said it was perfect combination. The atmosphere was nice and very relaxing!
