Tokyo Tuna Restaurant — Restaurant in California City

Tokyo Tuna is an absolute gem. It has the misfortune of being in a fairly rough location in a non-ideal strip mall in an otherwise run down town, but it stands proudly as one of the best places to eat within the entire 200 square miles of the town.

Every roll on the menu offers something new, exciting and special to indulge in. While some are more tailored to my taste buds than others, I would still safely recommend the things I personally didn't care for.

For instance, all the baked rolls - not for me, but they are still super fun and exciting to try. The deep fried rolls are never something i prefer over traditional rolls, but those too, I would recommend to just about everyone.

The staff and atmosphere are friendly and offer a cozy and sweet experience for any guest, whether it be sit-down, or to-go orders.

My husband and I are staying at Hotel Via and have come down to Bar Via every night since we checked in. We met Chris the best bartender we've ever had(my husband and I have been to many bars). We've come to the bar looking for Chris every day we've been here. From fabulous drinks to lots of laughter, Chris has made this trip of ours from So Cal truly memorable. It was my first time here and I have to say the sushi was definitely worth the wait 😻 I enjoyed the spicy baked salmon, the 911, and the monster roll 🤤I’m usually not into the raw sushi but this one just looked great so I gave it a shot and to my surprise i ended up actually liking it so thanks for that experience.
