The place was real nice inside but the food and service was such a disappointment! The waiter was unfamiliar with their menu! (I had to show him on the menu what one of the entrées were! ) They were out of the 1st two beers my hubby asked for! I had to literally "get up" and ask for napkins . . . then silverware (got our food and sat there looking at it, yes, we did) . . . Had to stop him for more water . . . I also had to clear the unused trays from one table and bring them to ours bc there wasn't any room for everything on our other table! (We had 2 tables.) The "nuggets" seemed like they were double fried bc they were real hard and extra crunchy. Fries and bone in wings were good though! My Ultimate Nachos, were very pretty without the cheese! (They had a light dusting of I believe cheddar cheese, but I swear they forgot the caso! See picture!) When I asked for some cheese to add to them, he looked at me somewhat puzzled and recommended their caso. I noticed he was charging me for the caso!? (Why couldn't I just have cheese they forgot? Anyone could tell it was missing a very important part to them!?) After waiting for well more than 8 minutes, and being told, sorry the "kitchen is backed up for some reason"...I decided to give back my cold, not so "Ultimate Nachos"!! They had the perfect amount of jalapeños and pico, but you had to squint to see the cheese (see pic). All I could taste was the sour cream!? The waiter ultimately took them off our bill, and didn't charge us for a couple items to make up for the not so ultimate nachos. Kiddos had fun and really liked their wings! Ok, not impressed . . . next!

Since locally owned restaurants typically have more freedom to tweak their menus and provide a more personalized experience, my wife and I usually seek out these kind of establishments when looking to have a good cheat meal. However, when doing a local search for good burgers, Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) arrived at the top of our search results. The last time we had BWW was after arriving in Panama and it was surprisingly delicious. Being that we have a BWW located in close proximity to our home, we opted to have it delivered via DoorDash. Couples that have been together for 5+ years can probably attest to the fact that some of your preferences start aligning (definitely the case for my wife and I); therefore, we both opted for the Bacon-Smashed Hatch Chile Burger with regular fries + Desert Heat Dry Rub and cheese dipping sauce. Upon arrival, our orders were both fairly hot (no complaints). The Desert Heat Dry Rub paired perfectly with the large portion of fries. Unfortunately, our burger was ok, but not as delicious as anticipated. The burger patty was overcooked (well-done), lacked adequate sauce (moderately dry), and was overall much smaller than expected. I understand that the restaurant is titled Buffalo Wild Wings (not Buffalo Wild Burgers); therefore, maybe our expectations were a little too high. I can’t say that I will order another burger from BWW, but I may check them out for their happy hour (specifically their strawberry margarita) in the near future.

So, we have been to this newer location a few times with good experiences. This day (Memorial Day 5/29/23) we stopped in for a few beers and something to snack on. Checked out the Happy Hour menu since we got there around 3pm :) and our beer was on sale Bud Light Tall's for $4. Anyway, when we were finished and asked for the bill, we noticed we were charged full price for our beers. I questioned the bartender, and he took the bill and said let me go talk to my manager. OK :) Thanks......he comes back and states that this menu should come out till June, so the price is not $4 today - WHAT? Ok, so I didn't make a big deal out of it, he was a nice young guy and I just decided to let it go. BUT they should have honored the price on the menu that he gave me to look at. It's just the right thing to do, and they failed. I am not saying I won't go back because I love Buffalo Wild Wings, I was just disappointed in this latest experience.

Wednesday, 4/12/2023 - Tried Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner this night. This is located by Costco, Amazon Market, Somisomi Soft Serve and some other businesses. It's at the corner of Bruceville and Elk Grove Blvd. Address is 7490 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95757. Upon arrival...

Pros:

  1. plenty of parking. Lots of other businesses you can check out around that area.
  2. when we walked in, we waited a few minutes before someone came and helped us. She was a very nice hostess. She seated us on a small, tall round table.
  3. our server brought us water and whatever drinks we ordered. Didn't take long to get our drinks after we ordered it.
  4. there's lots of TVs, tables and a bar.
  5. our table was clean. Cups and utensils clean.
  6. water tasted great. No funky or metal taste.
  7. we ordered boneless chicken wings. Flavors we ordered are Asian Zinc, Caribbean Jerk, and Sweet BBQ.
  8. The Asian Zinc flavor was....meh. ok. The Caribbean Jerk flavor had a spicy kick to it. My little one didn't like that one at all. Lol. The Sweet BBQ is good. It was the only one my little one liked. Chips and dip were very good.
  9. You have to ask for the carrots and celery with ranch dip with your wings. They no longer bring it with the chicken dish. That's what the server told us. It's only brought out uopn request.
  10. our server did check on us to see if we wanted to order anything else. Once we said no, she brought our tab to us.
  11. bathroom was so clean!

Cons:

  1. Wish the server told us at the beginning that you have to ask for the carrots/celery with ranch dip upon request. We didn't know that. We sat there eating our chicken for a bit until another server walked by and we asked them about it. That's when we were told they only bring it out upon request. By this time, we were almost done with our chicken. So we didn't want it anymore. ;)

Conclusion: We had a good experience at this restaurant. Our server was very nice. Our wings were nice and soft. A little on the drier side, but still good. Restaurant clean. We'll have to try different flavors next...

We waited 15 mins to be acknowledged and seated. Then when ask if we want to sit anywhere I ask for a booth. I didn’t want the middle booth because it was just weird and wanted to watch the tv more comfortable. They seem very annoyed at my question of wanting to sit somewhere else. My husband was a little annoyed so he wanted to leave but I wanted to stay because I like Buffalo Wild Wings. She said there was one more booth in the back which was fine but the way she said “okkkay” with a fake smirk was kind of rude. We got seated then she came to us in a rush about drinks. When my husband wasn’t ready she said give her a minute. We ask another server and she was annoyed from the beginning with us. She could have just said sorry, I can’t take your order it will be with your server. Instead it was you need to do it with your server. She came to ask us if we order drinks so we thought he could order with her. After it was quick drop off of our food and stuff then dash. Check on us once, wanted refill for the water and a to go box. She drop off the check at the table and dash. Then the server that was annoyed at us, took our check. Came back. Took the card, gave us the receipt and payment and they both dash off again. We couldn’t even say a word about getting a box so my son just ate his left over quick even though he was full. I’m sorry, if asking to sit a certain location was a big deal. We kept saying thank you and please even after being very rude to. With their tone of voice and facial expression. I understand the customer service industry and was still trying to be nice. I wanted to leave a nice tip but after every time we try to say anything she hurry and just dash off. Better to just order out and not tip the server if they are going to be upset over a simple question. It wasn’t like we were yelling about every food or making a scene about the food. We kept to ourself after because we knew they were already...

I’ve been to all bdubs in the sacramento area but this newest one. I came here with some friends to watch the game 1 of nba finals. I got here at 615 and said it would be a 15 minute wait. We finally got seated 25 minutes later. The inside looks nice all around. The seats are comfy and the bar is big. We were helped my a younger tall gentleman who’s name I didn’t get. We were ready to order so we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. The drinks came out promptly and the food in a decent time. We got nachos for an appetizer and 30 wings. It was weird how the wings came out first then the appetizer arrived minutes later. When it arrived he asked if he needed anything else and we just got ranch. After that he never came back to check on us. I had to flag him down because I had finished my drink and needed another one because my mouth was on fire. I asked him for a water and it never arrived. He would pass by various times and nothing. He asked the table behind us if they needed water and he brought them some yet I was still waiting. I have up on my water and just took some of my buddies drink. We waited 10 minutes for to get the check to leave and he still didn’t come. I ended up paying by scanning a code on the table since he never came. When leaving we were going thought he doors and he chased us down like some criminals. I told him I paid online since he never came back. He didn’t come back with the water nor to check on us but as soon as we get up he ran to us. I was excited getting a bdubs close to my house but I’ll rather make the drive to another one because of my experience. The food was good normal for bdubs. The service on other hand not good. ...
