Soooo I'm torn between 3 & 4. We came during the holiday weekend- it was our first time. They had plenty of staff but it looks like they were not working effectively together. The restaurant felt a little disorganized- order then sit down? Sit down and someone comes out? Nope. Order then sit down because they give you a number....then eventually they will bring out the food. We didn't get to try the ice cream because by the time the food was out the line was wrapped around and starting to go towards the door- bummer. The food didn't come out together. The burgers came out first then the sides. I will say that the food was good. They were definitely hot and fresh. We got the Steakhouse burger & the hubby enjoyed it greatly. I got the Boom Boom Baconater (or something like that) and it was amazing. I wanted more sauce to dip but didn't get to ask for some (huge line). The cheese bombs were my favorite. I definitely didn't enough room for all the food I ordered. I asked for boxes and the person got side tracked. Personally, it would've been nice to see a food line & an ice cream line. People were being served their ice cream then by the time they got to check out they had basically eaten the whole thing- that's crazy to me. I would be willing to try them again because the food was that good. The service- again...it was a holiday weekend, so I'm not trying to be too harsh. Side note, we left a jacket there and came back a couple hours later & nobody had turned one in & it wasn't in the booth we sat. Hope whoever found it- needed it. (That was a bummer)

Would give them a 5 but the place was nasty dirty. the floor under the stove and across the floor was complete disgusting. I could see it from paying at the counter.. Food allover the floor and under the stove. It looked Like when they dropped food they just left it and possible even kicked it under the stove . Meatball looking thing , fries and more. Smorgasbord for what I image has to be a infestation because one cannot have that much food on the ground and not have some sort of infestation.. I just gave them a second chance and I get all lettuce blt. Only half my sandwich had tomatoes and I had one slice if bacon per slice of sandwich. Bacon was extreamly burnt and just awful... this sand witch was God awful. I asked for avocado and got no avocado. Never again. Not even if it's the best icecream in town.

I've lived in Crescent City for nearly 9 years. Tonight, November 14, 2017, is my families first visit here! It certainly will NOT be my last, I assure you! The diner itself is very nice! The booths, tables and chairs are all in good, clean condition, without graffiti or other clutter. The kitchen area is viewable from the counters and appears clean and well maintained. The food was brought to our table, nicely presented and hot! The burgers were well made and cooked properly, they tasted great! I should have taken a picture of it, but couldn't wait to eat! The staff is well trained and professional, courteous to a fault! I fully appreciated my first experience here! Thank You To All Of Them! The menu is posted on the wall inside, it has a great selection of the usual diner fare.

Today April 29, 2024 is my 59th birthday. I invited my daughter and granddaughters to cc diner for dinner. We arrived at 3:45 pm. My daughter ordered first for her and her kids. Then we ordered next. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. They were already eating. We were there about 10 minutes and my daughters order came up. They ate and finished and we waited and waited and waited. After about 30 plus minutes we asked where our meal was. They played stupid like they lost the order or something. Which if true would have been fine but they never said they were sorry or anything. Next thing we know they come out with my dinner of hot pastrami sandwich and fries and onion rings. It was less than a minute since asking about our meal, so they didn't forget our order. It was cold. All of it was cold. No apologies, nothing. Then we waited another 30 minutes for my husband's baconator and fries to come out. The hamburger was hot but the fries were cold. It appears they forgot to make my husband's hamburger and then just let it sit on the side while they filled to go orders and other walk in orders. Not a single apology. And its not because we didn't give a tip because my husband gave them the highest option on the tip at time of order. Trust me if we didn't have to tip til the end of service there would never have had a tip. We live here in crescent city, we have gone to eat there twice and both times were bad. The first time because they were packed. I don't know who the manager was on duty tonight but they need to be FIRED. We were owed the respect of an apology. We would have been understanding as mistakes happen. But this was blatantly rude and disrespectful. I will never eat here again and I will never recommend anyone eat here. Manners are free and apparently the owners don't hire...

I’m a travel nurse in this area and I stopped here before work today to get something to eat. When I walked up to the counter, the lady didn’t greet me or acknowledge me, she instead walked past me and went to bring other customers drinks. I stood there and waited a few minutes and she finally asked if I was ready to order. I ordered a kid scoop mint chocolate chip ice cream, a BLT with pepperjack cheese, and fries. My total was $16.79. I sat in the diner for a while and decided to get up and walk outside for a few minutes. I came back about 5 mins later and they still hadn’t called me for my order. I waited in the diner again for about 15 mins, and still hadn’t been called for my order. I walked out of the diner again for about 5 more minutes. When I came back I asked if my order was ready. The lady looked at me and acted like she went to go check the food that was ready. She instead picked up the order of a group that came in after me and went to bring them their food and again didn’t acknowledge me or update me. I then told the cook my order and asked if it was ready because I had been waiting over 30 minutes to which he replied, “we accidentally gave your order to another person, so sorry, we’ll give you a refund”. I did receive a refund, minus the ice cream, but my question is, why was the customer service so bad? Why didn’t anyone update me? Why was his answer automatically to give me a refund and not try to make it at that time? I won’t be coming here again and I’ll make sure to let the other nurses and staff I work with to not come here either. What an...
