Denny's — Restaurant in California

3am. Hungry. Where to go? What's still open? Denny's! We haven't been here in forever though. Oh well.

We're the only car in the lot, aside from the ones that belong to the two employees lucky enough to be there on a Sunday morning at this hour. The weather is perfect; No jacket needed, and the day's heat was gone hours ago.

We walk in, check out the daily specials on the glassy panel written in florescent colors. Naah. We already know what we want. Question is, will it be good!?

Jennifer greets us with a smile and a relaxing attitude. The menus were already on the table so we sat, ordered coffee and water, and looked at the menus for a quick sec. "You guys ready?"

My wife's chicken fried steak was great. Hot, not overly breaded, tender, and the gravy was not too salty like most places. My two-fruit pancakes were so dang good I didn't want them to end. Actually, they should be called three fruit because there was a massive number of blueberries inside them to go along with the strawberries and bananas on top. Just absolutely delicious.

Jennifer was friendly and attentive. She chatted with us a bit and it was easy and welcome.

We paid the check, stuffed and happy, and stepped outside. This was such a great idea. Time to get home and crash. Thanks Denny's....

HORRIBLE!!! My husband & I went for breakfast. We stopped going there a long time ago because the Cameron Park Dennys was going downhill. Thought we'd try once more. The place is droll and dreary, nothing really cheery except being able to look out the windows and see the beautiful fall leaves as they floated down. ALL but 2 of the waitresses looked wornout, BOTH SETS OF SILVERWARE & napkins PRE-USED, our, plus another waitress kept wiping her nose with the palm of her hand as well as her wrist PLUS we got the wrong receipt. She just put it down on the table as she passed by and said, "here, I'm really busy, could you please pay up front when you're done" . 8 tables had people at them and there were 3 waitresses for those 8 tables. We almost got up &left. I wish we had. Hubby left tip, figured she needed it...I wouldn't have left a penny. IF you or ed eggs, get them sunny side up so you KNOW they are eggs. Mine were scrambled and they had an artificial flavor as well as texture. MY opinion is EAT AT THE DENNYS IN FOLSOM OFF BIDWELL. THAT PLACE HAS LIGHT, FULL OF CHEER, GREAT WAITRESSES AND WAITERS WHO ARE VERY ATTENTIVE,KIND, CLEAN AND COURTEOUS ...

Quit going to Denny's in Cameron Park 15-20 years ago, place had become dingy, old, food was blah, not a pleasant place to eat. Decided to give the newly decorated Denny's a try several months ago and found it to be very nice, clean, menu was great, food was very good. Ordered food TO GO tonite, Club Sandwich with fruit instead of fries, pot roast with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The same items my wife and daughter order when dining in the restaurant. When I got home and opened the order, found there was no fruit with club sandwich, no broccoli with pot roast and the portions of pot roast and mashed potatoes were about half the size of what we were getting when dining in the restaurant. Called and talked to the duty manager who sort of apologized for the omissions by saying he was "sorry you're disappointed", then added that the pot roast order could not have been smaller, it must have only looked smaller. He then added he hoped we have a better experience the next time we come in. There won't be a next...
