If it were possible to leave no stars I would.
So me and the wife went there for brunch toady (4/16). Heard a lot of positive reviews and it was our first time to visit. The wait time for a table was fine and order was taken in a timely manner. It all went down after that.
I got the chorizo and eggs and the wife a Denver omelet. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive and true to fashion it was cold. They forgot my tortillas and the wife's toast. When I brought it to managements attention they offered to put in the microwave to reheat...really!!! The service was pathetic. When I flagged a waitress down I would receive a look of disdain as if I was an inconvenience to them.
As for the food. The chorizo had no flavor, the beans were watery, and the potatoes were undercooked. The Denver omelet lacked any flavor and the toast was cold. Management made no effort to correct the problem other than offer to put in a microwave.
When we were leaving I tried to talk with two other managers about the visit. The cooked walked off stammering that the food was good, the other said nothing but walked away.
This was some of the worst and pathetic service I have seen. Not only will I never return again, but would recommend to anyone thinking about going, to go someplace else.
If your looking for true homemade Mexican food made with love and flavor, staff that treats you like family, and a warm and friendly atmosphere, I would recommend going to Casa Taquitos off of...
Read moreI walked in with my husband, we sat at the bar. The restaurant only had two customers at the same table. They were already eating their breakfast. I came in by myself. At around noon time on a Tuesday. The young lady was not efficient at all. I had to ask for every item I needed. Like salt and pepper, utensils. I did notice two males walked in. She was definitely focused on being a social butterfly with them. Making jokes, etc. I requested a cup of coffee. And just watched her continue to do her interactions. Kept flirting and playing around with male customers as she ignored my request. Even though I said, please when asking for my coffee. 10 minutes went by. We kept looking at her but nothing. Requested our bill and I we left the food. Food was terrible by the way. Fake can salsa. not freshly made. Can enchilada sauce on my husband’s...
Read moreI was going to give this place 4 stars for their excellent food and service. I almost never give 5 stars unless the place really blows me away. My wife had a breakfast burrito that was the size of a nerf football with generous chunks of sausage ham and cheese...so good! I had the country fried steak and eggs...so fresh and tasty. The kicker, however, is that I left my wallet behind that day, with all my IDs and $100.00 cash. I didn't realize it was missing until 24hrs later. Upon retracing my steps, a call to ElCerrito confirmed I left it behind. I rushed back to the restaurant where a lovely young lady handed me my wallet whereupon I discovered that all of its contents were intact. This testimonial speaks not only to the quality of their food, but to the character of their staff. My new...
