I’m really into ice cream so I was excited that a new shop was opening near me. I had been following for weeks as the anticipation grew. Sadly the ice cream is a miss. I got the Gansito and Butterfinger Pretzel flavors. The butterfinger had a weird flavor, almost chemical-like. I didn’t taste butterfinger in it and there were some ice chunks in it. The Gansito was better but didn’t have too much of a Gansito flavor, it also had some smaller ice chunks in a few bites. I had seen on their social media that it came with chunks of Gansito on top but that wasn’t the case. The prices were way too high for what it is. $5.99 a scoop and no toppings or anything. They didn’t have any cones either they said but I saw one on the counter behind the glass ordering window. I was going to get the concha with what I thought was two scoops of ice cream as the picture on the menu shows, but was informed it only comes with one scoop. White Lyon down the street is much better if you’re an ice cream fan. I wanted this to be great but even Michoacana has better ice cream. Two stars are for the location and big patio with plenty of parking. They also brought the ice cream out to you...
Read moreI’m giving this business two stars for the staff. Everyone who we encountered was very hospitable, accommodating, and respectful. Putting that aside, the facility and the ice cream itself are both subpar.
Customers have only one seating option, which is the patio. I do understand that the facility is running at half capacity at the moment, so I’m unsure if this will change in the near future. The patio only has small, square, metal tables that only seat 4 people. Also, there is one roll of paper towels and one hand sanitizer dispenser. An outdoor sink would be a great addition to this lacking environment.
I ordered a single scoop of rocky road ice cream. I always thought that rocky road was difficult to botch, but this place managed to do it. The chocolate ice cream has a faint, mild chocolate flavor. There are frail, sliced almonds mixed in without any marshmallows.
I would’ve loved to have found a locally owned business to support, but unfortunately,...
Read moreItems are mediocre but very overpriced, ice cream scoops are priced by flavor quality, which is not my cup of tea since we are already paying per scoop, makes the final bill higher than you thought it would be. Tried the matcha horchata, ridiculously expensive with a price of $10 with a cup that did not match the advertised photo, which is also an issue with the items here. I could have gotten a cheaper matcha at a beach town. Ice creams shown on social media show an abundance of chunks like in the gansito flavor, however I got hardly any chunks. I wish they showed us what the ice cream looked like, because when you ask for a sample the employees seem annoyed about it. Nice vibe but these items could be bought at other spots for much cheaper, this place just needs to...
