El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in California

4/13/24- I came in for Horchata only to find out you don't have it at this location. This after I had ordered and paid for my food. That didn't matter because of the great customer service I received.

Christian was on duty and he greeted me on my way in. This is my first time as we don't have Pollo Loco in the Midwest. He was friendly and took time to answer my questions.

I asked about discounts, promotions and coupons. He went over the menu and helped me order. Very patient. He treated other customer's who came in after me the same way.

Lupe prepared my plate. She gave me salsa, napkins and utensils. I was impressed because not everyone does this. She made sure to ask if I needed anything else.

The crew was working handling the drive thru and customers walking in. Lorenzo was friendly and offered to assist me when I asked for names. I do this to include them in my review.

I did not wait long for my food as the service is fast both inside and drive thru.

My meal was perfect. I had the three piece thigh and leg meal with beans and rice. It comes with two corn or flour tortillas. They offer three types of salsa or you can have all three. I noticed they are not stingy. The size of the portion is good two share. As for me I enjoyed it all 😋

While I was eating my dinner I noticed the sunset coming down. It was a nice view while I ate dinner.

After my meal I met Teresita because I ordered churros. She was on duty. I found out she's the manager, so I expressed that she has a good crew. I told her I would do this review.

I hope Christian and Lupe get a shout out along with this crew. Thanks to them not having Horchata didn't matter because the customer service was great!

Food was just okay service was good PS update food was well below standard this time I decided to not give them one star because I'm hoping that it can be good again but changed my mind earn back the three stars I gave you originally the salsa bar the salsa was not good it was spoiling employees need to check for that to make sure it's all good you could see it bubbling it was so bad other people in my dinner party noticed it too food was just not good this last time so I'm not taking off a star but I want to let management no you really need to get with it because I don't like to eat rotten food and I'm sure other customers don't and yes I did get sick from it upset stomach all night long please I've been there several times I know that you can do better there is no excuse for serving people food like that absolutely no excuse please get with it and like I said the rest of the food was well below par please I'd like to have another other friends come with me there the food used to be that good not happy...

This El Pollo Loco is my favorite place to grab a lunch or dinner. I usually get the Original Chicken Tostada and it is the best food I have ever tasted!!! It comes in a tortilla shell and the food inside are rice, pinto beans, a sort of lettuce blend, pico de gallo, chunks of chicken, sour cream, cilantro and cheese. Along with this, you get creamy cilantro dressing on the side. There is also a salad bar inside the restaurant with different types of sauces, so I usually add salsa roja, cilantro, and more pico de gallo to my bowl. The portion is also pretty good, so if I'm hungry, I could finish it all, otherwise I just split it with whoever I'm with. I absolutely recommend this place!

Also, the atmosphere here is very peaceful, with good/calm music playing over the speakers. The employees are very nice, and everything here is always clean. Thank you for making amazing tostadas with fresh food that is also...
