Kevin at the self check out station couldn't be more miserable working there. Please encourage him to find a new position within your company where he can find happiness. Every. Single. Time. The cycle repeats. I stand there, sometimes up to 10 minutes, looking around for help because he wanders around from check out to check out talking to people, then over to the customer service station, then over to the hand carts, then over to more people, meanwhile I am staring at him with my light blinking reflecting on how I've defeated the purpose of speedy self checkout. When he finally does make eye contact he intentionally stops off at a few more places and then snarks at you like a catty brat. He's older than me, and acts like an absolute child, I have no idea what I've done to this man or if he treats everyone this way. He doesn't want to help, he wants to be the cool guy at work I would venture to guess he gets all his life's thrills through spreading hot gossip. I never shop in a hurry, I am a exceedingly patient person but his insistence to waste my time in this spectacular fashion is my limit. You don't have to ruin everyone's day because you are unhappy, Kevin, and honestly I wouldn't have known this wasn't normal behavior had your coworker not walked over and changed my entire perspective on...
Read moreBack in Fair Oaks for the weekend and discovered something that really surprised me inside the Gold River Bel Air. Starbucks. The design is beautiful. The seating is plentiful and the white hot chocolate, delicious. Someone at Raleyâs hit it out of the park, not only with the concept, but the execution.
Even if you donât regularly shop at Bel Air, drop in, review their large greeting card selection, pick up a white rose for someone special and visit the in store Starbucks. Youâll thank me.
Best front line anywhere. All checkers have excellent engagement skills. Prices slightly higher than competition. Courtesy clerks make a huge difference.
February 14th, Valentines Day, 2019. Thought I'd revisit Bel Air, Gold River, and see how things are going. Valentine's Day is crazy. It's all hands on deck and the store is filled with Gold River and Fair Oaks residents making last minute Valentine's Day purchases. It's so busy that even Ron, Bel Air's store manager is bagging groceries. Ron's a 'great manager', a favorite of the locals. Tara, the cashier in the photo is one of the best. Shopping in this store is like going to a symphony. Every store employee seems to be on the same page. Definitely worth checking out. I'm not a drinker, but the wine...
Read moreWas checked out by a gentleman named Ryan. Who over the years has seemed to always had a bad attitude towards customer service. Today I met him in the self checkout line, but he was the attendant. Since I only had three items, including one alcohol item, I went there by bypassing the self checkout. And he met me with much attitude, telling me that I will ring you up this time with alcohol, but I will not do it again. And I told him, sir Iâve been coming to this supermarket for 10 years easily and everybody else realizes the law allows for this. But clearly you donât understand the law. And all he wanted to do was let me know that he was in control and he will not do it again, but he will do it this time. Obviously the man has a chip on his shoulder. Perhaps because he is disabled. Itâs unfortunate for him, but life is life. I am hoping the next time I shop at the supermarket. He is not in a position of authority and he learns how to treat people that are customers of the supermarket with respect. Because letâs face it folks without our dollars they donât have jobs. Not to mention that Bel-Air and Raleys is one of the most expensive supermarkets in the...
