I Love Teriyaki — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

My husband and I were looking for a spot for lunch and decided to head on over to I Love Teriyaki.

I ordered the vegetable tempura plate and he ordered the chicken teriyaki plate.

For the vegetable tempura, I would probably say I would want the pieces to be a bit smaller. They were hard to eat with chopsticks specially if they're close to half of my face so that's a con. The side veggies they were talking about was just cabbage and not much else. In different branches they would usually give yakisoba noodles and rice as the combo plate but here it was cooked cabbage and a fresh salad.

I tried the chicken teriyaki and it was good and I sure wish that's what I got but there's always next time.

Pricing and portion of the protein and rice, I would say it's on the pricier side than what's around Rancho.

Service wise, it's pretty good. They were all pretty welcoming and attentive. Even when it gets busy they manage so that's always a plus for lunch spots!

My wife and I frequent the I Love Teriyaki and Sushi in Rancho Cordova on Zinfandel Dr. We have always been pleased with that location cleanliness, service, the portion size and quality of the food at their location.

Today we were at Smart and Final on Sunrise and decided to stop at the "I Love Teriyaki" on 2310 Sunrise Blvd, Gold River.

The place was not clean. We were charged the same price for Thai Chicken, as the location in Rancho Cordova, but were given much less chicken portions. Usually my wife and I can never eat all of our food portions we receive at the Rancho location. The quality of the food at the location on Sunrise, was also poor quality, than the food served at the Rancho location.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Not only is the customer service mediocre, but the food is clearly not being prepared or not being stored properly. I have been to this location 3x (I’m a 3-strike type of person) and I kid you not, EVERY SINGLE TIME I’ve been to this location on Sunrise Blvd. I have gotten terrible food poisoning. And I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a bad day, or a specific cook or something, but honestly, they need an inspection immediately cus something isn’t right over there. I told my fiancé about this and that I haven’t eaten there in over 2yrs, but against my warning he tried it yesterday (at this location) and today he is in and out of the restroom sick as a dog!! DO NOT EAT AT THIS I❤️Teriyaki!!
