I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hot Off The Griddle in Orangevale, CA, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal.

The service at Hot Off The Griddle was nothing short of exceptional. Not only was it lightning fast, but the friendliness of the staff truly made the experience memorable. It's not every day that you find a place where the team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel like a valued guest.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the breakfast omelette. Oh, what a delight it was! Cooked to perfection, the omelette was a fluffy, flavor-packed masterpiece that left me craving for more. The combination of ingredients was a symphony of tastes, and each bite was an explosion of culinary excellence. It's clear that the chefs at Hot Off The Griddle have mastered the art of breakfast perfection.

What pleasantly surprised me was that all this goodness came at a price that didn't break the bank. Hot Off The Griddle offers a menu with prices that are not only reasonable but also provide great value for the quality of food and service you receive. It's a win-win for anyone looking for a satisfying breakfast experience without emptying their wallet.

As I reluctantly left Hot Off The Griddle, I couldn't help but plan my next visit. With such a delightful dining experience and an omelette that has now set the bar impossibly high, I know I'll be back soon, and this time, I'll be bringing friends and family to share in the joy.

In conclusion, if you're in Orangevale, CA, and searching for a breakfast haven with amazing service, look no further than Hot Off The Griddle. From the lightning-fast and friendly service to the mouthwatering breakfast omelette, this place has it all. The reasonable prices are the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. Don't hesitate – visit Hot Off The Griddle and treat yourself to a breakfast experience...

A simple diner, mostly catering to immediate locals. With a Denny's across the street, that isn't an easy feat to accomplish, but they do so successfully.

Although the atmosphere is warm, clean, and pulls off being modern with a rustic flavor, I can't say I felt welcome upon arriving, or even when ordering. Nevertheless, they made sure my coffee mug was never empty. Music choice was 80's - a happy change from country western - and played at a comfortable volume that did not interfere with conversation. The menu is classic breakfast and lunch options. I didn't get a chance to try the bacon, which appears in the menu as a flagship item. My meal was chicken fried steak with eggs, biscuit and fruit. The fruit was not just cantaloupe and honeydew melon, but had orange, grapefruit, pear, and apple slices, along with grapes and blackberries. Nice combination! The steak was a little heavy with breading, but still moist and tender. The biscuit was light, soft, moist, and fluffy, served with soft - not frozen - butter, making it easy to spread, and it melted into the biscuit nicely. The eggs arrived just like I ordered them: over medium, not hard or soft. Well done! The clientele was a family mix, not just retirees. Groups of younger ones, couples with toddlers, single readers, and locals bringing friends along filtered in and out during my stay.

While there wasn't much to put this place out in front or over the top for 5 stars, they made a solid hit in giving me a calm, pleasant dining experience. I will return to try...

Cannot recommend this place, unfortunately.

The server who first assisted us was lovely. She was attractive and friendly. My grandson who is 13 ordered a cheeseburger from the kid's portion of the menu. Another server came to our table right after our server walked away and told us that we couldn't order a kid's meal because he was too old. We changed the order from a $9 burger to a $17 cheeseburger. The patty was tiny and I couldn't tell what could possibly be different between the kid's meal we wanted and the one we were forced to order. The rest of our food was mediocre at best- the fruit was not fresh, the hollandaise sauce on my veggie Benedict was watery and not seasoned well. The fries were my favorite; they were crispy and seasoned really well.

I looked at the menu before leaving and confirmed that nowhere on the menu does it say anything about an age limit on kids' meals. This was our first time here and while we were excited to try it, it will be our last due to our rude server who felt the need to gouge us for a burger my grandson ate about half of. We will take our business where customers are appreciated.

Two stars are for our original server. I don't recall her name but she had lovely, unique hair, long lashes and...

This place had been on my list for a while, and my husband and I finally got to try it last Saturday. We usually order a lot to sample different dishes and take leftovers for a late lunch or early dinner, but this time, we decided to keep it simple and stick to the classics. We ordered the waffle plate, chicken fried steak XL (substituting French toast for the pancakes—it does cost extra), and a side of onion rings. Everything was delicious, and the portions were pretty generous! The onion rings were super crispy. The waffle was moist but not soggy, just perfectly fluffy and tasty, and the French toast was really good, too. The fried steak was flavorful, though I wish there had been a little more gravy since it was an XL portion. The two pieces were stacked, and the bottom one didn’t get much gravy. Service was friendly and efficient. The lady who helped us was quick, warm, and welcoming. In fact, every server there seemed really friendly! We are definitely coming back to try more from the menu.

When you walk in, it looks like a plain old diner. THAT'S SO WRONG - they really know what they're cooking! I ordered the HOTG eggs benedict, minus spinach. It had a fried green tomato on each muffin half - and the breading stayed FIRM even under their hollandaise (which was excellent!). I took half of my benedict home & reheated it about 5 hours later. The next day, the breading on the fried green tomato was still great! SERIOUSLY - absolutely great!! (That's NOT easy to get right). The Waitstaff were on point, there when needed & not hovering. They're very nice people. The only improvements I'd make would be: 1. Offer sweet potato fries; 2. Offer a fried green tomatoes side order; 3. Offer a MASSIVE fried green tomato platter; and, 3. Make fancy coffee, like mochas, etc. They could even add fried dill pickle slices (NOT spears, please). I've already started telling people about this great restaurant. :) OOPS !! I forgot to mention the gazillion different flavored Mimosas!
