I been to this place many times and a lot of times they don’t come to the table to see what we need but is ok, I don’t mind it as long as they bring our food and they are nice to us. Yesterday we went there in the morning and our server was extremely rude. I told the server we were ready to order and she said she couldn’t take our order yet because other people was before us and she could only take the drinks at that time, i said ok I’ll wait until you come back, she looked bothered and walked away, when she came back, I asked the server if we can get a coffee with my kids meal and she rolled her eyes and she said she would have to check but she didn’t think so, she walked away with attitude again, so I told my mom let’s just go since we didn’t feel welcome there. When I was walking out, I asked to speak w the manager and the same server was in front of me rolling her eyes and massaging the front of her head, I said you know i can see you every time you are rolling your eyes, she stormed at me with attitude saying that I was getting upset over something that she couldn’t help me with because I couldn’t make the change and I said I understand that it couldn’t be change but your attitude is not customer service. When I was talking to the manager, the server continue to roll her eyes as I was explaining my self and rubbing the front of her forehead. I work in customer service and I would never show that kind of disrespect to the customer. I was not being rude or disrespectful in any way and I don’t understand how someone can be so disrespectful and insulting, since she didn’t even try to hide while expressing her annoyed feelings towards me...
Read moreLet me tell you, huckleberries, has amazing food, and that's hard to say, nowadays with everybody cheaping out.You get plenty of portions for what you pay for what you pay for and the food tastes really good. I would highly recommend the chicken fried steak or the chicken and waffles. The huckleberry tea is simply phenomenal.I would go just for the tea alone. Now that being said excellent customer service. And if you have elderly children people in your life, the food is really easy on them. If my grandfather can eat at a place, you know. It's good food. I would honestly equate this place to an old chubby's diner you can generally get away with a family of 6 for $150 that's everybody ordering drinks and sides. Now that being said, I highly recommend the green fried tomatoes and fried okra, if you're from the south, then you will understand just how hard it is to get around here and they do a phenomenal job, me and my grandfather were fighting fork to fork to eat them fried green tomatoes. The sides are so fortunate, you could just fill off of that. Before you get your course, I it gave...
Read moreProbably one of the better 'basic breakfast/lunch' spots to check out. Located next to a couple hotels so I am sure they service those in a big way. Nice they are a stand alone building instead of tucked in a strip mall. The decor is very Bayou themed which is fun and appealing. We were greeted by the manager (possibly owner) on an early Saturday morning. Got seated in about 10 mins or less. Our server, Gerardo, was super nice, and efficient. He made sure our elderly mom was paid attention to and well taken care of. This isn't BB diner, but you definitely get a lot of food depending on what you order. The chicken fried steak and eggs is served with TWO steaks (it's a half pound of chicken)... that's a huge amount! Fried okra is a rather large plate that will easily serve 4 people. Everyone was ok with their meals. Except actually me. I ordered the Monte Cristo and was thoroughly disappointed. It is not a classic MC, but actually just a grilled ham/turkey and cheese sandwich. I would avoid if you like MC's and know how they...
