Read moreMy wife and I embarked on an adventure in Half Moon Bay, the land of traffic jams and hangry tourists. The situation got so dire that we considered making a break for it, executing a daring illegal u-turn like something out of a heist movie. But just as our grumbling stomachs were about to stage a coup, a ray of hope shone through the car window - the glorious beacon of India Beach, with its flashing open sign! We made a decision quicker than you can say "naan bread."
As we pulled into the parking lot, it was as if we'd stumbled upon a hidden treasure. Unlike the overcrowded tourist traps nearby, India Beach exuded serenity and delicious aromas that promised an exotic escape. They even had tables set up on the patio, providing a front-row seat to the shoreline. It was like finding an oasis in the desert of hangry despair.
The staff greeted us with smiles that could rival the sun's brilliance, and the food? Oh, it was a taste explosion that put our grumbling stomachs to shame. We devoured our meals like it was a race against time, savoring every flavorful bite.
But the icing on the mango lassi had to be the owner's brother, who made an appearance like a cameo in a feel-good movie. This guy was so friendly; I half-expected him to start offering life advice or auditioning for a buddy-cop film. He added the perfect touch of hospitality to an already fantastic meal. In the end, we left India Beach with full bellies, happy hearts, and a renewed faith in the power of illegal u-turns. I /may/ have asked chatgpt to punch this up a little... But seriously, we had a really nice time and enjoyed both the food and the really friendly people here. If you find yourself in Half Moon Bay,...
Read moreWe LOVE LOVE LOVE this family-owned restaurant, it's been our all-time local favorite for several years now. The food is DELICIOUS but even more so we really appreciate how much the owners have gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure their take-out process is SUPER SAFE during the current pandemic.
Honestly, since our household includes a high risk person we've been extremely cautious about ordering take-out. I can truly say that I trust India Beach and their dedication to bringing our community the most delectable Indian food while keeping their customers extremely safe.
It really seems like they've thought through everything... from the plastic sheets to create a germ barrier at the door to proactively handing back your credit card with an alcohol wipe so you're able to immediately sanitize. They also sanitize the pens used by customers to sign their receipts between each transaction. AMAZING!
We just absolutely LOVE this restaurant and wanted to hop on here and give them a huge shout out of APPRECIATION!
If you're in El Granada and have a hankering for some PHENOMENAL food served in the most SAFE way possible... EAT HERE!
p.s. the samosas are out of this world! Getting hungry just thinking...
