Jimboy's Tacos — Restaurant in California

My wife and I Love Jim boys tacos, we eat here sometimes twice a week. Our kids, although grown now, also frequent these restaurents. What is frustrating is the inconsistencies with the register staff. When ordering quest cheese dip one time they ask if we want small or large, other times (again today) the cashier rings up the large but we receive the small. When we asked about it we were told there is only one size! I look up at the menu and it clearly shows 2 sizes. When I try to show the elder cashier the menu, she won't even look at it. Today the cashier wanted to charge us for drinks when we showed her our Jim boys cups, we were talked into buying, that say "Free Refills with purchase". This has happened numerous times.

Why are there so many inconsistencies with staff? I am not some teenager complaining. I am 60 years young and have been coming to this building as far back as when Jim Otto owned it and it was a Burger King!

I love Jimboys, and it shows when ordering. I eat once a day, so my orders are large. I always go inside to order as I don't want to be in anyones way. I feel as if the staff is "put out" when I come in and order $40+ worth of food(not loss leader products either). I understand that it is a large order and always tell them to take their time. Even with this, they seem put out. Then I always tip on top of it, this doesn't seem to change their disposition either. That being said, when picking a place to eat, I often think of Jimboys... but then think to myself that I dont want to piss them off by ordering food. I hate leaving negative reviews, but it has been earned over and over again. I have to work hours to afford $50+ on food and tip. They have to work 15 to 20 min...

Went here after a long day at work 12hr shift. I got in the drive threw line at 7:40 pm they close at 8. With 4 cars in front of me and one behind it shouldnt take long right!! Not the case I got to the menu box to order at 8:25!!! 45 minutes later! There was no response so when driving up to the window I saw several employees eating food off the counters. One of them came to the window and said we closed at 8 so I explained I’ve been in line for 45 minutes she proceeded to eat and tell me it wasn’t her problem! This business isn’t run correctly or those employees should be written up! I live an hour from my job and this happened to be in the way down the hill. I will never go back...
