La Sirenetta — Restaurant in California

Place has a limited menu, but is the type of food you would expect on a boardwalk like this. Tried the lobster roll and fries, clam chowder and fish and chips. Surprising, the fish was the stand out. The square shape was a little odd, making it seem like it was commercially processed vs home made (which it very well could have been) but had great flavor and was fried well. Tarter sauce was pretty good too. Lobster roll was decent, but expecting a soft roll was surprised by the hard toasted bread. Was a little too think for the amount of lobster. Also wish I could have ordered without the fries. Was too much given we had fries with the fish too. Finally the clam chowder. Not the best as the sign claimed, but good on a cold night near the water.

We went to La Sirenetta in Marina del Rey for a casual dinner on Saturday evening. The service was prompt and we were explained the items on the menu. We went for the lobster roll and the panzerotti, which came with generous sides of French fries and onion rings. The lobster roll was honestly the best we’ve ever had. The panzerotti was crispy and the filling was delicious. We picked some of the vanilla and chocolate ice cream for dessert and they came in fresh and crispy cones. Our dinner was perfect and we will be back soon to try the homemade clam chowder, their fish & chips and the homemade ice...

We drove all the way for the mussels that they clearly show here on google page in their menu. When we approached a lady and asked if they have mussels she didn’t even understand what is mussels and had to check with the cook what is mussels and if they have it. In the end she said no.
