Tl;dr: It's not worth it. Most likely gunna wait almost an hour to get seated. Fish quality was subpar and there's only a small amount of bar seats.
Monday 7pm: 45 minute wait for us. It's bar seating only so you'll for sure get cozy with your neighbors. I'm confused about the menu+pencils because when we wrote down our order and quantities the server asked us to recite everything and just wrote it down on her own notepad instead
There's a 16% mandatory fee and there's no tipping. This is nice because tipping culture has gotten way out of hand but at that point why not just state the true prices of the menu items instead??
Salmon, toro, and yellowtail handroll: Skip These are all minced fish paste and the amount of rice eclipses the fish. It does not highlight the type or quality of fish at all (if there is even any)
Salmon sashimi: Skip This is like a sloppy seconds bowl of randomly sized cut up pieces of fish. And the ponzu-like sauce did not help at all. It was disappointing.
Scallop handroll: Get This was the one saving grace of the entire meal as it was the only raw handroll that wasn't filled with fish paste. Just a very fresh and clean tasting scallop that made me wish I ONLY ordered this.
Eel handroll: Get With eel sauce, it's hard to go wrong with this so I suppose it's a safe option. Nothing remarkable and still enjoyable
We actually ordered another handroll set and the server confirmed this when repeating our order back but it just never came out I guess? Thankfully this worked in our favor as we did not want any more disappointment.
I will not be returning and do not recommend if you like quality fish, handrolls, or service.

Read moreDisgusting restroom. This place is so dark. If they turn on the light, you'll probably run away.
Customer service was great. 16% mandatory fee for service well worth the price. FYI, I don't usually agree tip-flation. Salary percentage doesn't raise, why should tip percentage wage. There are no reason for tip percentage to raise when food menu price already raise causing tip to also raise. However, the service which we got was great here.
Food quality was so so. Average. Taste was also so so. No technique necessary from the person preparing my hand roll. $5/$6 handroll from inflation, can't expect much. Note: there are no cucumbers, masabi, nor radish sprouts in the handroll. Plain fish, rice and seaweeds. Which I can do better at home myself.
Overall, doesn't really worth my time to get out, drive there, wait in line, and pay (more than I prep at home). It will take me the same amount of time, less money with better quality sushi. Mostly importantly is that I can't stand the restroom for a restaurant serving raw meats. Absolutely disgusting!!!!! If you have to be politically correct to create an unisex restroom....
Read moreA hidden gem with authentic touch and flavors. I've been wanting to try hand rolls for quite some time. Most of the places have fusion menu with Americanized version of flavors (cream cheese, different sweet sauce, etc.) This place usually has long line. It's not necessarily that they have a lot of people, it's because of their set up. They only have one long bar for seating. Due to limited seating there's a long line. However it's 100% worth waiting for. They add 16% service charge with no tipping system which I really appreciate. Chefs make the rolls and personally hand it to you. I wasn't a big fan of lobster and crab, cuz they both had mayonnaise. They were still really good, especially lobster. My favorite were yellow tail, salmon, and toro. Their menu is precise and simple. I love it when they do it this way! They have different size plates, I got 6 rolls. 6 is pretty filling, but they were so fresh and good I got the 7th one :D I just can't wait to go back. It's a must try, but sadly there's nothing for...
